@@bluelilly5995 - I'm not reading into anything, I'm stating an obvious truth. And where did I say that this channel was every other channel? I said that people ask to see the hair silk pressed on every channel where the person has long natural hair. Her hair being much longer than the others doesn't somehow make my comment any less true. All of these "please silk press" requests on here are just another example of the simple-minded obsession that many people still have with straight hair.

Wash your hair and scalp clean, depending two times a week, deep conditioner protein or hair mask treatment, (let your Hairdresser check your scalp and hair. She will determine which type of hair treatment you may need or hair mask treatment your hair and scalp needs) scalp massage increases hair thickness by stretching the cells of hair follicles. This, in turn, stimulates the follicles to produce thicker hair. It's also thought that a scalp massage may help dilate blood vessels beneath the skin, thereby encouraging, know want work for you hair and scalp oil or natural butter cream (in this case you need to found a good Hairdresser who knows about hair porosity I believe she will help you once she's seeing your hair and scalp) Doing easy protective STYLING (Don't leave a protective style in too long. While it can be tempting to put your hair in braids and forget about it, this can cause tangling, dryness, and breakage if you don't switch up the style. We recommend leaving protective styles in for about two weeks on average- and never push more than two months) if you do leave your protective STYLING for too long try to use (water and oil Mixed in a spray water bottle) this will help keep your hair follicle cuticle healthy and stronger helps with dandruff itching scalp and softening natural etc

@@1204 I have 3c low porosity hair. I have gone 8 months with twists in 2015-2016 but did not moisturize as I should, nor wash as much as I should, and my hair was locking at the roots. I got help getting it out. I tighten it up every 3 weeks. This time being near the end of another 8 months,I've been washing my scalp every week during the Summer, now every 2 weeks for cold weather, and moisturizing, as well as hydrating, keeping my roots from locking up,and my scalp healthy, clean and build-up free. I used to keep protective styles in up to 2-4 or 5 months when I never new about perms in my very young years and my hair growth fast. After discovering and using perm and I went back to doing long protective styles whenever I was natural and it grew fast every time. When I did go to a salon, they said how thick and healthy my hair was. It's the same for many women's hair, especially in Africa and us in the Caribbean. I guess it depends on the person's hair and where they live, then your statement for long protective styling would be true.

@@ez2bcute hey so why don't we ask her if she thinks her hair grows faster than normal say around 1/2 inch per month. Perhaps is how she cares for it. I have definitely noticed a growth spurt while being locked down pretty much for a 9 months. I seem to have hairs growing from everywhere, wonder why? Is the air Outdoors that polluted? I Do cover my hair when I go out to get the necessities when I didn't do that prior to the pandemic so maybe there is stuff in the air messing with the growth or the retention of my hair's length. Or possibly there's no reason for me to style it three or more times a week. I may touch it once just to moisturize or shampoo and I do not shampoo weekly.

@L C M Respectfully, you’re entitled to your opinion. However, how do you explain genetic disorders that affect hair growth, dysmorphic syndromes, the modifier gene abnormalities and the single major gene abnormalities? How do you explain disorders along with the mode of inheritance, cause, hair phenotype and the extent of involvement with each? Genetic factors are responsible for density, length, color, & texture. Everyone’s hair grows but some individuals stay in the growth phase longer. I do agree that retention plays a big part in keeping what you have but I need you to get a littler deeper if you are going to debate what I have studied since ‘05 as a cosmetologist & 2010 as a RN then nurse practitioner (now working towards MD). Let’s talk about the Lhx2 gene & if you can’t discuss that, just simply answer where do we even get genes from (Answer: our parents, hence genetics)? That’s a simple answer that heredity can affect hair growth. Respectfully, you are entitled to your opinion & I’m excited about your growth. I have been following her tips as well & I never said they didn’t work for retention. No harm, no foul.

@@just_shaeee I get that you are very well educated in the science of all of this, and that is great! I have a history of alopecia, thinning and fine hair in my family on both sides. No one has been able to grow they're hair past a certain point (their shoulder blades) for some reason. I have been following this beauty's tips of less is more and sealing the ends like the other lady just explained, and I have to say that sometimes you have got to do the work and go through it to really test the limits of science. There just aren't enough studies to show this is the case for the majority. I may not have a degree in this, but once my family started to see how my hair was growing, they all did the same thing, and surprisingly they're hair started to grow back. Even my aunts with alopecia. Genetics can play a huge part, yes, but I feel like sometimes you can beat genetics depending on how you care for your hair. You are the expert though, and I still agree with most of what you said, but this is just my and many other's experiences. ☺

@@blkboentinquiry3553 Before I am any medical or hair professional, I am a believer of Christ! If your family broke all barriers to science/genetics (it does happen) then I am so happy for you guys! 🥰 There are several articles with human studies to back the science but I will never debate anyone’s personal experience. If people would stop trying to debate so hard, my initial comment was that I absolutely love this Queen’s tips. I simply responded with 15 years of hair care experience & 10 years of medical experience. Nevertheless, I cannot & will not debate your diagnosis & experience as I have never assessed you. Instead, I would love to keep it positive as I did initially! Keep that growth journey coming, from one beautiful, intelligent Queen to another !❤️ I’ll be binging this Queen’s videos too!
