A very fair and well done comparison! I agree with your assesment on these three Laser units. The only thing i would argue with, is if you went with price per watt and performance , clearly the Gatlin wins! I also own all three of these units and wicked Lasers are quickly becomeing collectors items and outdated! Nowdays, you can buy a Sanwu laser pointer at 7 watts!!!! Thanks for the great video!!!

Ya, I may be just a little biased because I think the Gatlin is a bit goofy looking! And ya, the Wicked Lasers are only good for completing collections or scrapping the hosts for new builds! Thanks for watching!

Great vids as always. I also have the gatling gun style laser and the Thor M2. I also agree the Thor M2 is very well-made very solid it's focusing capabilities are impressive you can focus to almost a needle point. The gatling style focusing lens is at the front and feels loose as the Thor M2 is in the middle and very solid and well made. Burning the Thor M2 is a little stronger

I have the Chinese 1W. Mine comes in at 1.2 to 1.3 watts with full batteries and clean lenses. I paid about 64usd plus shipping. I actually feel the host is superior to the other two and the focusing lense is very nice. 100% recommend the Chinese laser as a great first laser. It can also be easily modified to accept a 5W diode and driver! Very happy with it at this price point.

I just got one that may be a knock-off of the Thor M2. Its exactly the same except it doesn't actually have any writing on it as to what it is. I do have to mention, I've had it a couple months but have been kind of afraid to use it often :) I bought the laser safety glasses separate, the ad said they were rated well but when I got them, there is no rating etched on the lenses. Also the range has a gap and my laser is rated near the top of the lower spectrum at 450. The laser being rated at 445

I'm able to to get a pretty fine dot at long range with the Thor, but it takes a little while and a very careful hand. Can't do anything like this with the Arctic, as it has no adjustable focus and the only focusing lens creates a focal point an inch or two from the end of the laser

Look for 405nm violet, often sold as blue, but much safer. Look for a genuine site that is truly specific about mWattage. Although, a stronger *focusable* violet laser that you can find anywhere, often listed as 5mw although much stronger, and capable of burning, to burn, you must focus at a close range, and when unfocused, it is far less diffuse, and more safe, although less distance. I will actually allow my Dog to chase a 405nm violet, somewhat unfocused at night

First off. Something new I learned the very scary way and wish someone would have told me about it, rather than nearly almost learning it the hard way. Lightening will follow your beam down to you. Your beam will act as a lightning rod. It can also trigger thunderstorms (google it, it's worth looking into if you don't already know). I was pointing my laser into a smallish looking low cloud the other day and after about 10 minutes later of on and off use. It starts to rain and it was weird because it wasn't a thunder cloud. The condition for the weather was bright and sunny as well as this is Hawaii and a part of Hawaii that we never get rain in. Then suddenly I hear a big crack and at the very same time see a bright flash, as well as feel a lot of static electricity (all of my hairs on my body were standing up) lightning strikes down next to where I was standing just moments ago! Once I finished shitting myself and after I claimed down a bit, I thought something was strange about that. So after a shower (to clean off all of the shit) and then surfing google for a bit. I found out that when you have your laser up in the sky, it is a lightning rod and it will also start storms if you "piss off" the cloud enough. So please be careful when using your laser outside as well as inside. If there is any sign of a storm brewing. Don't mess around. And no you cannot turn off your laser fast enough as well as the effects your laser has in the atmosphere do not suddenly go away the nanosecond you shut your laser off, stuff has been changed in the line of your beam, lightning will follow the path of least resistance. It is that simple. I am happy to be alive. So yeah, I discovered yet another way to die a horrible death that involves lasers. Maybe I did not trigger the storm and it was a coincidence. ( I feel I did ) But either way. I was using my laser and lightning just suddenly happened after no rain, no thunder, nothing that whole week/month. I would like to know what you think about this. If you have ever experienced something similar when using a laser. Maybe XM360 can do a whole video on this as I don't think many people are informed. And the concept is actually pretty cool anyway. Ok so. I was wondering if I wanted to buy a 5 Watt laser right now. From what I can tell the best price I can get is $180 for the Thor H 2. And that's including shipping DHL to Hawaii. It has low and high power, it was 26650 and I want 18650 at the very least I hate 16340 batteries so much. Mainly because it is hard to find legit ones. The crap that comes with lasers is such trash. Anyway, I was just thinking for my first powerful laser I would go with a 5 watt. I only have 1.6-watt lasers right now. But since the price would be close if I got the 3 watts I mind as well just go with 5. I already own very good laser protective glasses for 190nm - 550nm & 800nm - 1700nm. I am careful not to point it at anyone or near anyone, especially planes or choppers. As that will land you in prison. Or any road-based vehicle, just let's just say I don't point my laser on anything that might have someone. I use mine for in the sky use with a beam extender. I am on the constant lookout for aircraft. If I so much as hear one close by I will power down and wait it out. OK now that we have safety out of the way. Is there a noticeable difference between a 1.6 watt and a 3 watt in beam brightness in the sky? Or a 3 watt to a 5 watt? Can you tell or would it have to be side by side? And if it was side by side how big would the difference be? I use a beam extender at all times as I like to get max range. And I cannot handle beam divergence. I got beam extenders to help with that but then realized how much further you can go into the sky with one. I am thinking about getting the 3 watts but for just $40 more I can get the 5watt and since it has low power and high power mode. I figure I could just run in low power which would also give me longer duty cycles I believe. I also would like to know if I buy a 3 watt instead of a 5 watt will the 3 watts run longer duty cycles ( or stay cooler). I am sorry for my very noob questions. But after watching some of your videos I feel I should ask you for your opinion on this. As of right now, I think I might be going with the Thor H 2. It is a pretty nice laser for the price. I know it isn't high end by any means, but it also is not low end. It is your standard production line. I guess it would be like buying a Tesla or maybe a Honda, maybe? Anyway, I appreciate whatever answers you can give me. Or that anyone can give me for that matter. All are welcome to chime in here if you feel you can contribute. Thank you!

Bro-fessor, first things first. It was just a coincidence. Laser light won't do anything but burn some wood, plastic, etc. and also burn your i-balls out. That's it. If it affected the clouds and weather, then we'd all be in the next ice age, because the U.S. Government (and every other government as well as every knucklehead on earth) would be shooting up the sky and destroying the entire eco system. Now that's out of the way, I have a 1.6W and 3W 450nm lasers and the 3W is much brighter. No need for side by side to tell. A 5W will be a bit brighter than the 3W but now you're getting into the "death zone". A 5W and above will burn down your freaking house or start a freaking forest fire if you're not really careful. A 3W looks close enough to a lightsaber that you don't really need to play in the "death zone" to have some fun. IMO anyway.

Since he couldn't be bothered with finding the name, the lightsaber looking one is called a Latovsted High Power Laser Pointer.. "Here's 3 lasers I'm going to present, but I'm not interested in naming this one in particular so ill just call it a chinese 1!" nice..

Arctic has a very serious problem. As you screw and unscrew the external protection to use the accessories, it also loses and twists the black metallic protection of the lens, also twisting it and ruining the focus. With time, it can even damage the diode connections and ruin everything.
