Gasless flux core for stainless steel. This wire works great for small repairs and welding hobbyist. Run this on DC+ as a single or multi pass weld. Easy to remove slag makes this a great wire. It also pairs up great with the BD MIG welding machines!

For flux cored stainless that stuff runs really well. I figured it was going to be very tough and almost impossible to make decent welds. Blue Demon did a nice job.

If I am welding stainless to mild steel would I use this wire or regular flux core wire? Do I need to burn it hot but slow?

You could definitely use that wire to connect steel to stainless. The melting temp between steel and stainless is minimal difference. Run it as if you were running nearly the same metal.

Could you weld 16 or 18 gauge stainless with this setup? I have some that needs to be done but am worried about burning holes in it

That might be risky but possibly. Haven’t tried it on that thin of material.

I attempted using this with a stainless milk can, I think that was 20ga material. Kept blowing holes in it. Didn't help that the part I was trying to weld to the milk can was much thicker.
