I love how each Diamond represents a form of abuse. White is Mental abuse, Yellow is Physical abuse, Blue is Emotional abuse, and Pink is Neglect (you see that with how she treated Spinel) It's just a really interesting way to see how it represents how horrible the Great Diamond Authority was at first, and then how they did the opposite after, well, everything. Even Steven does basically the opposite of Neglect throughout the shows

Blue’s my favourite one out of all four of the diamonds. I just love her design, voice and personality. She’s still really antagonistic but also very emotional and more fair compared to the other diamonds, her emotions never make her seem like a pushover though and she can still be pretty threatening to all gems.

Why do I see like the Diamonds as family after a relative’s death Yellow: the older sister feeling guilty of her sister death and not showing pink a lot of love and now regrets it and her personality is angry and mean because of her pinks death. Blue: The middle Child is crushed after her sister death and is very depressed and quiet. White: She doesn’t care but also does at the same time

I have a feeling Diplomatic (Blue) gems actually have a resistance to Blue Diamond's sad aura. Hence why Lapis could stand her ground, and why Garnet managed to get up and move dispite being brought down before (and why she didnt unfuse, since she is half blue gem). This also explains why she wasn't able to do any real attack like Lapis, Ruby was still incapacitated.

I always loved blue diamond. after getting diagnosed with depression and anxiety, I became mature and aware of alot of things like death and other stuff. So I do act and feel like blue sometimes. This character relates to me and even both of us had a difficulty moving on but did in the end move on.

I'm probably grasping at straws here but I feel like Blue was also inspired by banshees from Irish folklore, because she's a representation of grief, depression and mourning and she's voiced by an Irish woman.

Blue Diamond reminds me so much of Severus Snape. He grieved for Lily throughout his life, and had the appearance of a vampire. He grew to be so deep in depression, that he gave Harry his memories in the form a tear before he died. Severus was a shattered man since he lost the only friend he ever had.

I always felt like the diamonds were kind of motherly like the crystal gems. Blue is over emotional but shows love, yellow is cold and distant but still can show love, and white is a perfectionist who wants her "kids" to be picture perfect. Blue acts like a mother who has lost her child or at least that's how I have always seen her. She really helped me through the death of my own baby. To take time to grieve but not to let it overcome your life like blue diamond did. Thats just me

Something i found interesting about blue diamond was when blue diamond was bathing, she was using a comb made of a shapeshifted pebble, and you could also see bathroom accessories such as a toothbrush and soap, and jars, and even a straw, which are all human inventions and suggest that blue has had multiple encounters with humans(maybe via zoo or pink) and since she cared, it gave her inspiration

I think the three diamonds represents the three power of an government : Blue for the judicial system, yellow for the legislative power and white for executive power.

Blue diamond is my favourite out of the diamonds. I think its because to see how broken she is because she is trying so much to play by a perfectionists rules, but she can't get over the loss of someone close that rebelled. I always see her being the grief of the diamonds.

Honestly, I always felt blue was the nicest and most patient out of all of them, even before she knew about Steven. She seems genuinely kind and lovable, and when I saw her I knew she’d change. She was the one to convince yellow to change her ways. Honestly, I love her, and she’s one of my favorite characters

i don't see pink any better or worse than any of the other diamonds

though at times crueler & less forgiving then Yellow Blue is still my favorite Diamond, like the doting mom who despite being unintentionally condiscending at times will always love & support u. also love how Lisa Hannigan just stops hiding her Irish accent at one point, not sure of the actual reason, but i always saw it as the first signs that Blue's Diamond persona was starting to crack and we're seeing glimpses of her real self

I think the diamonds Represent a Pacific side of emotion inside of us. Pink representing our anger and Excitement, yellow being strong will, blue being sadness and joy, and white representing the power you can have over others.

Interesting bit of headcanon that is (mostly) confirmed: Blue Diamond was the second Diamond that was made by White Diamond: making her after Yellow Diamond and before Pink Diamond. Based on what White said; she diffused portions of her personality to create the other Diamonds similar to how Father purged himself of his Sins in _Fullmetal Alchemist._ Due to Blue Diamonds' calm demeanor and ability to emotionally overwhelm other Gems, chances are Blue Diamond was made from Whites' Empathy and Reason in order to maintain a measure of control and oversight for the Imperial Territory that Yellow conquers while also reining in Yellow Diamond to make sure she doesn't pull up stakes and leave the Imperial Territory to start her own conquests. Because she is made from White Diamonds' Empathy; Blue Diamond is arguably the most approachable of the Diamonds outside of Pink had she found her niche and was allowed to cultivate her abilities and stake her position within the Authority as an equal.

For Connie first not being affected then being affected, I think it was just to give Lapis her cool moment Also we see Lapis IS actually affected because of the tears rolling down her cheeks. I think the reason she’s able to withstand it is because Blue projects her grief as the aura, but as Lapis herself says “I’ve felt worse” she has LITERALLY felt worse than that

I actually think her characteristics were spot on before pink diamond faked her shattering. We can still see that even in such a depressed state, as soon as Steven is revealed to have pink diamond's gem, blue instantly drops her excessive grief. She even says, "just like how our gems must present us with our best possible selves" to paraphrase. This hints at the idea that really the only reason her characteristic of self care wasn't seen, was only because of losing pink diamond, but before that happened, and after learning who Steven really was, she starts to display her true characteristics a little more. Unfortunately we don't see too much of her after change your mind, or the Steven Universe movie, so we mostly just have to go off of assumption that she has started to heal and care for herself again.
