I'm taking YOU into the stores shopping for vinyl records WITH ME. You'll be there AS I FIND COOL RECORDS. I'll show you how I do it. How to find places to find vintage vinyl records. I'll show you what to look for. How to thrift for records like a pro. How to find cool used vinyl records for a fraction of the price. Much cheaper than Discogs. You'll be there as i find a bunch of great vinyl records at a Thrift Store!. Secondhand stores can be a great place to find records for much cheaper than online.

Murder houses....I hate when that happens. I've seen my share of those when hunting vinyl. When you find a King Crimson album, it's going to be a great day! Nice Butterfield Blues Band records and Jazz Crusaders too. Great Japanese imports (I guess they're Japanese anyway). My favorite phrase...I have more records over here. Except at the murder houses. Wow nice looking jazz records there. I just found that Johnny Winter album a month or so ago, pretty good record. Love the look of that Texas Blues album. Great score!

Morning! Well, on your 1st stop I would have bought a few of the promo 45s too - some interesting stuff was there - including some nice early 60's teen R&R 45s. ...Very nice LPs at the thrift store! Wahoo!

I grabbed some 45s from that sale, but i didn't get it on film...and, after several months, i can't remember what ones i got. (that's why i didn't show them in the "haul") I know they weren't cheap though, that's why i didn't just blind buy a bunch of them.

There's a record store here where the guy is notorious for talking constantly. It's hard to leave the place! Sometimes you've just got to leave mid sentence!!! "Stop talking to me about U2!!!" 🤣😂🤣

I met " Father Guido Sarducci " ( 1987 )..so fun, and enjoyable to spend time with him ! Killer haul this time bro ! Sweet Paul Butterfield LP's, and Second Crusade is slick ! We can't beat jazz pick ups, very satisfying scoring it. Son's Of Champlin is very west coast SF Bay Area sound, Cold Blood, TOP.. early Boz Scaggs. that sort of thing.. Watching the rest ! Later Tuco ! 🎵

Caught a secondhand adrenaline rush vicariously going through the door of the estate sale. The initial entry is high stakes. One wrong turn and all the treasure could be lost. When i see photos of records at an estate sale, i try to gather info about where they might be located in the house...one time, i saw the records were near a sliding glass door that led out to a ground level patio. When i walked in the house and discovered i wasn't on ground level, i immediately asked how to get to the basement, and, even though i was 40th in line, i was the first one to get to the records!

Just FYI that insert that was “In the Wake of Poseidon” record is the booklet that goes with Yes “Fragile”. I’m sure you’ve figured this out by now, but just letting you know.

Funnily enough, my copy of “Close to the Edge” that I found had one in it, so I thought it went with it until I investigated. There’s definitely worse inserts that you could have two of. That booklet artwork is awesome.

That Gerry Mulligan is a good one. $30-60 depending on condition and press. Almost looks like Country so easy to miss.

I saw those Blue note sleeves in one of your other videos and discovered that they aren't associated with Blue Note records New York. That T-bones record stomach song was used in an old Alka Seltzer TV commercial that I remember. It's probably on KZfaq.

I bought a couple before, just for the sleeves. That "Blue Note" appears to be a store. Not sure if its related to the label. The 78s in the sleeves are not Blue Notes, just the usual thrift store fodder crappy 78s.

It was a store called Blue Note. I don't know if it was related to the label or not.

I've looked at it several times there...discogs classified it as "soft rock", so i passed. I just listened to some...it's actually not too bad. A lot of it is a bit too "soft" for me, but i may still pick it up next time if it's still there.

I almost always check condition first. There are rare occasions that i don't have time to look them over thoroughly (i only have a half hour on my break), but if the price is cheap I'm willing to take the risk.
