Dude, what a haul! Especially that Shangri-Las, Seeds and Hal Blaine! Just stumbled upon your channel and dig it! Most vinyl dudes seem obsessed with new high end pressings these days, it’s cool to see someone who looks for the weird OG shit like me haha! Keep ‘em comin’!

Man...you know, i never really thought of myself as an anti-audiophile, or whatever, but i guess i sort of am. I mean, don't get me wrong, if i come across a high end pressing in the wild for cheap I'm gonna snatch that thing up in a heartbeat and be thrilled to have it...but i don't NEED mo-fi's of stuff...i listen to a lot of lo-fi stuff, noise, demos..and I'm tolerant of a little bit of pops and clicks sometimes! I'm glad you found your way here! I haven't showed my collection in months because it's been in storage...just been showing recent finds...but now the collection is coming out of storage so I'll be showing that (and the whole 'process') in upcoming videos along with, of course, the Thrift With Me footage!

Neil Peart did 2 tribute album with various players in dedication to Buddy Rich. On some songs it took 2 drummers to play what Buddy played. The titles are Burning for Buddy Volume 1 and 2. I have both in my CD collection, I do still collect CDs and albums as well. I don't buy cassettes as my Napa Valley cassettes racks are full. I occasionally buy 8 tracks just for art but I have a working 8 track player.

The Deep Purple I have on a 2 cassette set except mine is from Sweden, that is a great listen. I had to buy it twice because my whole cassette collection was stolen except the new Rainbow album I bought on the way home from work. It was hard to but I found another Swedish version and after a while I was able to replace all my cassettes. I am now replacing my cassettes with CDs and some artists with albums. Like you I am a music appreciator or collector. That is what I enjoy most and I am lucky to be able to support mostly independent stores or sellers on the internet.

That Nilsson album is really cool. You would probably love his "Son of Schmilsson" album too, it was made around the same time, but is a lot more humorous. Also, if you like anything Nosferatu related, you should also check out Art Zoyd's "Nosferatu" album. The music is inspired by the silent movie of the same name, they created a soundtrack for the silent movie with music, it's really cool and even great to listen to without knowing anything about the movie. Wow, great find with the Arthur Brown album, I never see that one around here. Also the new Cheap Trick album, The Seeds (completely unbelievable). Got that Sweet album, I always have to play with that cover when I'm listening to it. Love that band, definitely underrated. I never see that Fanny Adams or the Little Willie albums though. You would think that Chuck Berry 10" would be worth more. Cool! Nice Uriah Heep album, John Wetton only did two or three albums with them. Jerry Lee Lewis is always great to pick up, especially on the Sun label. Amazing pick ups, man!

I really enjoy watching your vinyl haul videos! You're doing exactly what I would be doing if I had not lost most of my vision after some eye surgeries 20 years ago. I can't drive anymore so it sucks being stuck at home. I'm living vicariously through you now haha :-) I like that you make long videos too! It's cool being able to see what places have in their stores, sheds, and wherever vinyl can be found. I'm trying to work with a friend now that has been going to estate sales for a while. I'm trying to work it out where I can ride with him and look for vinyl while he looks at other things. Hopefully, and before too much longer, I'll be able to start hitting some places besides the occasional record store searches I get to do Esther paying Uber $40 to $60 to get there and back home. It's a lot of fun looking through vinyl I know! Oh yeah, and I was going to mention something seeing you come across those Bay City Rollers LPs. I haven't seen one of their albums in so long I can't remember the last time. I remember as a kid having the 🎶 "S A T U R D A Y, Night! .. " 🎶 45 rpm single haha. I haven't heard that song in some 40 years or more probably. That's one of the cool things about watching your channel. It's the nostalgia and it is seeing some of the old, not normally thought about or seen, songs and pressings from years gone by. If we'd only known back then about the music that was to come along and later change our likes and lives 👍 Keep up the good work TUCO! Brian in Fort Worth 🎶

You never did say what exactly happened in that Heavy Metal shop? I've seen you mention it in a few videos and it looks like it might have been a close call whatever they did or got mad about. Keep up the good work and good luck on the finds! Brian in Fort Worth 🎶

Hahaha! The Heavy Metal Supply Company! That was just a joke...I've never even been inside the place. It's welding supplies...i knew that, i was just joking like it was a heavy metal music store. I sell records at local record shows...and we occasionally have a sale at our house. I don't sell online because that's too much like 'work'! I do have a bunch of high dollar records that I'd like to sell, though...so I'll probably set up a Discogs store at some point.
@Bootradr

@@VinylHunter That's funny I didn't realize you were joking with the Heavy Metal Supply store haha. I had pictured in my head that you would end with your camera and some gang of employees took things the wrong way :-) You crack me up too with the it's too much like work comment. It would be too! I'm going to try to make it to the Austin Record Convention this year. Not to sell anything but to find and buy! I haven't been able to get there since 2013 and I'm looking forward to just taking a train or bus, getting a hotel room, and spending the weekend there. And as I'm sure you know, Discogs is pretty easy. I still haven't sold anything or tried but I've thought about it lately. I've bought a lot lately from there though...
