Just bought one of these and will be my first climber see how it goes. Hope it helps with my hunts and get some big bucks on the ground on film!

Love a climber. Nothing like being able to move when you need to when the wind isn’t right or the food source changes. Good choice. 👍. Be safe and god bless.

John, I couldn’t agree more, climbers are my favorite mainly because of the mobility like you said. I’m looking at a tree saddle setup in the future, the portability and functionality is almost endless with them, downside is the setup costs a lot initially. Thanks

I bought this yesterday. Used it today going up the tree was no problem but coming down was a huge problem. As i started to decend i couldnt get the stand to go down only wanted to go up. I tried to add more angle to go down and my feet slipped out and the bottom plummeted to the ground leaving me hanging there i had to get down the tree by any means possible so i bear higged grabbed the top and dropped it. Then used the repel rope that comes with it and got myself down. Scariest thing ive gone through just hanging there. With that being said ill be going back up in the stand tmr. Gonna use those ratchet straps that have no meaning behind them to strap my feet down as tight as i can get them

Hello, watching this video and a couple things you need to know. I noticed your climbing standing up. The seat is made to slide to the front of the stand so you can face the tree but sit on top of the seat so you can sit down as you pull your feet and bottom platform up. Then after your up and all set you straddle one leg over the seat and slide it to the rear of the stand as you bring your other leg forward over the seat. Then secure the seat to the tree and sit down facing away from the tree. Also the reason your having trouble pulling up the bottom is #1 it’s easier when sitting #2 you have the angle of the bottom to flat already,it needs to be on a more upward angle and should only lay flat when you reach your chosen height. Then if needed you can adjust the roto to flatten it leveling it to add more downward pressure on the platform which in return makes it bite onto the tree better and stabilize it better. To much of a flat or downward angle when climbing makes it much harder to raise the foot platform. I’ve been climbing in stands for over 40 years now and have learned from time and usage. I do appreciate and like your videos and not trying to correct you just educate you and anyone else as I have fallen years ago thru my own mistake of having my foot platform adjusted poorly. Remember this the bigger upward angle the easier it is to pull it up but also the easier for it to slide down the tree. The more level angle makes it press against the tree much more tightly so it is also harder to pull upward at an level angle, so try to adjust it as close as possible so it only levels out when at the correct height for we’re you want to stay at. Same rule applies for the top half of the stand when going up have it on an upward angle and level when reaching your desired height. This will help you lots. Have a save and great hunting season and stay safe. Thanks for your videos. God Bless !!!

Have this stand. I have no problem going up the tree with the bottom plate form but a big pain going back down. For 150 bucks I didn't have high expectations

Brought one of these last year, haven't deployed it in the woods yet. Tried it out and noticed some mistakes on my end but for 150? Best bang for ya bucks

I have one of these stands i personally do not like it it’s heavy and bulky it honestly wouldn’t be that bad if the top had the Roto sleeve too But I would recommend getting the game-winner 2.0 climber stand for $99 at Academy if you’re going for a cheaper climber stand but I would recommend a summit viper

That's ridiculously heavy for a aluminum climber. Wonder why?
