I think WRS has little winglets to replace those black wings too. The solid black, opaque ones off the main screen. I’m surprised you didn’t get those too!

I hoped you were talking about the ugly bits that I hate, and they are the black windscreen holders which I think are also combined with wind deflectors, which I think should be made of clear plastic. If you have a clear screen, that is, otherwise they are right in your face all the time as you ride along. In your case and with a dark screen, the wind deflectors that you got look really nice.

The Bike is black, the windshield is black tinted, so those side wind deflectors look very nice on the whole black setting of the bikes front. I’m not sure if it works well also with the clear wind shield and on a different paint job of the bike, like for instance the trophy version…?

Looks absolutely amazing 👍👍 Should have come from BMW that way. Does the tinted windscreen interfere with the sensor in any way? I saw a tinted windscreen online that had the ugly bits as part of the screen but it said it was for non radar equipped models only.

£100 to get rid of the ugly bits, fair play to them as they know owners will cough up 😂 How much will it be to get rid of the elephant in the room, will BMW be offering a PCP deal to finance it? The mothership does have acrylic form though, I'm currently looking for a replacement to the OE chocolate fireguard (aka the screen) currently fitted to my 1250RS 🤔

Don't really like it tbo. To me it outlines that Dumbo ears look even more. As long as you like the look better now, great! I'd prefer the clear ones since they blend in more.

As much as I DO really like the new design of the GS, and appreciate the slimmer body lines to give off that visual “lightness”, those “ugly bits” along with the blank flat space up front of the radar sensor just seemed like obvious misses for me, from a purely aesthetic standpoint. Especially when you’re designing a bike from the ground up, you mean to tell me the designers couldn’t have integrated those elements more cohesively? This is also a Bosch unit, something I’m sure they had the dimensions of months before even settling on an exterior design. It might seem unfair to rag on BMW here especially when you look at how Ducati integrated their sensor kind of crudely as well, but when you consider how well Kawasaki and Yamaha integrated the sensor in their H2 SX and Tracer 9 GT + bikes, and those AREN’T ground up designs, you do naturally tend to scrutinize a bit more. Happy to see aftermarket parts coming out to at least integrate those elephant ears a bit better into the bike. Amazing what a simple tint can do.
