I've seen a lot of reviews and this one is the best by a looong shot. I just bought my own 3 series F30 and I absolutely love it. The reason I loved this review is the way he speaks with passion and the way the car handles and makes you feel. Spot on!

For me the E46 is perfect. It was around when i was first getting interested in cars. To this day i would love one, a 330i 2 door in the right color and trim is one of the best looking cars iv ever seen.

when I was five my mom purchased her dream car a 2004 BMW 325XI. During the mid 2000's my parents were living in the bubble economy real estate dream but by 2010 the hummers were going and things got tighter around the house. a couple years ago my mom had to start working extra hours in the hospital where she works an hour away. The 3 series started to quickly gain miles. when it reached 200,000 it was pretty impressive, at 250,000 it seemed ludicrous that a car with that many mikes could be so clean and proper at 260,000 i had my first go at it and the car was in a whole different league then the student driver cars they have us practice on.The car currently has 273,xxx miles on it and it never broke down at the side of the road it has been driven in all conditions by different types of drivers from -11f days to parade laps on racing circuits the has always been there. Moral of the story if you are looking to purchase one do it it will be all the car you need for years, and if you take good care of it all the car your children will need I cannot wait for 300,000 miles and to take it on its first track DE day this summer :)

I have always love the way 3 looks. A long bonnet, short boot and that rear window makes it easy to identify. This generation is my favourite and it's the petrolhead's choice in this segment.

I think this car was ever 1 or 2 steps ahead. Long bevore efore the C Class and the A4 were released, this car was a legend. And now, 40 years later its a much bigger legend. Especially the M.

Just purchased a 320d sport with leather. Unbelievably good for a saloon. Excellent drive and handling with precise gear change, no Nav and heated seats but I now see why this is the perfect car... Many talants.

The 320D engine is great, but you can't beat the sound of the 330D/335D, they sound brilliant (I've got a few videos of mine). You can't beat the sound of a 6 cylinder.

Just bought an older E90... Nothing not to love, except maybe the image amongst non car people. So nice to drive.

The period between 95-2003 is, IMO, the best the BMW could do. Looks, quality, feel, all of it. The E39 is still, i believe, the best looking of them all, and not to mention 3er and 7er, which look so much more refined than the current ones.. Great vid though, as usual.

Loving the F30. 328i is super smooth but goes like stink when you want it to .

I still feel the E90 was the best 3 Series. It was solid and heavy feeling, had a direct steering (though a tad heavy) and just felt far more significant than the newer F30. The E90 was like picking up a good quality watch, it just had that feel to it to make you realize it oozed quality.

My favorite mode is sport because I'm a child.

Great car no doubt but I think I'd go for the XE instead. It may not be as good but it's a different offer in the segment and that's a good thing.

I bought a 320d Touring a few weeks ago and it's a fantastic car. For me, the engine feels a bit agricultural after coming from a petrol engined A4, but the BMW is miles ahead in every other way. The upside of the diseasal engine is that it has so much torque that when driving with passengers that don't like speed, you can go quickly without revving. This is good because you can go much faster without complaints. To the people getting upset about M Sport badges on a 320d, I have the M Sport version and I still pretty much agree with you. I don't think M/// logos should be on these cars. They should just have a trim level called Sport and leave it at that.

BMW - The best car money can buy, driven many other makes and models - The C class and A4 are all nearly on par but its how the BMW is put together. The technology, the drivetrain and build quality and especially the looks, The 8 speed auto box & I-Drive system is excellent . Thats why its the "Ultimate driving machine"

sorry buddy i disagree the E90 was better looking than its predecessors. even after 10 yrs i still love the way it looks at me. this is coming from a guy who had BMW for 40 yrs. starting from the 1975 2002, 1977 320I and my current 2007 335i.

it's good that a lot of respectable car company keep making very good and iconic car nowadays. we can get f type jag, aston martin, m4, audi r8, mclaren, nsx, corvette, gtr, gt350r, p1, laferrari, 918, and the list of great car right now goes on and on. however, it seems like auto industry for enthusiast is nearing its end. electric car will takeover the world in 10 or 20 years. self driving car will take over world then. goverment then will have a reason to forbid driving for whatever reason. all those car maybe will become the last hurrah for petrolhead. i hope i will still drive my car as an old man

Not sure what's going on with this one, but even in 1080p it's all crunchy and aliased.

I had a 2013 320d and now have a 2015 W205, the Merc is leagues ahead, the cabin is noticeably superior but the airmatic feels better than the adaptive m sport suspension I had. My other half has a 2014 325d, it pulls nicely but for the miles I do, I wouldn't go back to a 3 series just yet.

E92 is the best looking imo and the e36 m3 drives the best from my experience. (haven't had the opportunity to drive an e30) :/

The E36 in this video gets most of its ugliness from the fact that it's the BMW Compact version, whose proportions are 'orrible.

f30 335i owner here, best car ive ever driven with crazy potential

It's a shame really, the only driver's cars left at bmw are the 1 and 2 series, it's like they shunted all the good chassis engineers over to those divisions and everyone else just thinks up ways to make the lineup number, heavier, and less engaging overall

I drove 3 Series 2.0d in a same day as Peugeot 508 1.6 HDI. Peugeot was actually nicer, prettier and more relaxing. My friends couldn't believe it is just 1.6
