Very smart showing the clip with the airbag out first. Definitely the best video on this removal. I've done it a hundred times and still mess it up as well haha. Good job I'm sure this will help a lot of people including myself!!

Hi, once the airbag is unclipped from those two wires, if the centre of the steering wheel is put back, will the horn still work?

While I don't have a video specifically for the e90, the process is the same. Look for the release holes on the back of the steering wheel, and hunt around for the spring clips with a thin screwdriver. Edit: Wow, I didn't read your comment right at all. If my memory is correct, remove the glove box, look up, and you'll see a few 10mms holding it in.

Hey I installed the new one but as soon as I start up the car, it keeps honking! Why is that? Maybe a cable is lose or bent??

there is no slot on the back of steering wheel. mine looks same as yours and there are only 3 torx bolts... are you stabbing through the leather to get to these clips?

Nope, there's a slot there, it's just hidden. It blends in pretty well.

Brother, this WAS an E92. Guessing you have a basey base model with the three spoke, not the sport bag.

This airbag steering wheel design is so dumb, which BMW can simply make it more straightforward and less problematic. It shouldn't requires almost tearing your steering wheel boot just to locate a little spring. Should be like a rocker switch.
