Now we can hear the car! Finally. But, there's still a bit of drone. In this video of my F10 535i, I'll be giving a detailed overview sound check of my current setup, which consists of an RVG Catless Downpipe, Thrush Turbo aftermarket mufflers, and a resonator delete.

I too am currently searching for a combo that doesn’t drone and sound good. Closest one is the m-performance muffle + res + high flow cat but it has a slight drone around 2k rpm. Not much but definitely noticeable and will cause slight rattle of interior pieces.

The F10 535i has been one of the hardest vehicles to get the right sound out of. I feel like none of the setups I tried and heard have been DEEP in sound.. My current setup is a Dinan Axleback setup with resonators still installed and it sounds good, but not great. Yours sounds GOOD as well.. I have clips of the Dinan on my @CENFL Motorsport channel..

@@MotoRevs There is no Droning at all. I plan to delete the Resonators next week.. It does sound good though. I will be doing more vids on the mods to my FBO+ F10 535, and 2010 E60 FBO 535i...

No drone, you say? I might have to look into this. As for your videos, I'll be waiting for them! I love seeing more F10 content - there's just not enough content that we deserve.

So I currently run a straight pipe with a catless dp (same car as you). Would you say the drone did go down a little bit at least with these mufflers ?

I'd say so. The main thing on these cars, for some reason, is having a (good) muffler can make or break the sound, especially the drone. I'd say the drone will be better with these mufflers, but it will still drone. A lot. Don't expect it to be perfect, but it may be marginally better than what you have right now.

I got the standard Thrush Turbo Mufflers, with the 2.5 inch diameter in and out both ways.

how do you select soft/mid/hard pops ?

With the MHD Multipmap, I can switch between 4 different maps on the fly, using the "BC" button on my turn signal stalk. It's amazing!

I am, in fact, tuned. In the video, I had an MHD Stage 1 tune, which allowed me to get the pops.

Yes, it did! The tune removes the catalytic converter check engine light, so you're still able to get a check engine if something is actually wrong. But as for just being catless, I no longer have a check engine light.
