I've never seen such gear for a side car.. a real progress indeed !! i really enjoy this side car ! to recover the feeling of a bike, and to allow us to share with family with not so much restrictions as with a traditional side.

That is it! This solves so many problems with side cars. I can see my wife and dog riding with me!😊

Excellent side-car system. I could see how this could be useful for Law Enforcement cadet training!! This would speed up ticket-issuing times and really allow for faster influx for needed funds from payments made. GREAT POST!!

I like the maneuverability of the bike with the side car. Yes, you could have a car, but but this is more fun, and you can do more with a sidecar than just haul people.

I had such a setup years ago with a HD Police Special and a Goulding Rocket. It looks good in theory and actually not too bad at speed but was a handful at low speed. I saw the rider use his right foot on the sidecar frame at 3:22. It looks like this rig has a bumpstop. I dare say it could change the whole dynamic if you hit it at speed. I sold my rig as it just wasn't what I had dreamed it to be. The buyer eventually put on a 3rd (upper front) mount; something I heartily endorsed.

The ability to lean without flipping over on a right turn makes this a great design, but I would love to see an off-road rendition with two drive wheels if it's possible like with a Ural. Maybe there's a way of powering a axel that can be engaged when you don't want it to lean and you need two rear wheels.

That’s an excellent idea, very similar to the Sidewinder side car principles from the 80s, albeit sidewinder was a little platform with a little wheel, it was used by 17 year olds who wanted big capacity bikes whilst under license restrictions (provisional license) instead of riding 125 machines, then the loop hole was changed by the government and Sidewinder was no more..

Back in 1979 I bought a 6cyl. Kawasaki KZ 1300. We were looking at sidecars. One was called The Coupe Royale by Motorvation. That was my favorite. The build quality with fit and finish we're first rate. But the most maneuverable one was called Equal Lean. Far superior to the one in this video. The designer was a hell of a nice guy and spend a lot of time with us showing off his workmanship. As the name would imply, the sidecar leaned with a bike.

Solves the sidecar issues very nicely. How well does it brake from speed? the sidecar rails look very light and not much triangulation.

If you build a three-wheeler with front AND rear steering (AWS), it will behave like a motorcycle with a side car, as the rear wheel(s) align with the front in the curves. In-line right, in-line left, like a balanced bike.

Are you not 'on top' of the passenger in a right hand turn? I would think it would be more interesting if the sidecar also leaned. Would the side car switch sides in RHD markets such as the UK and Australia, otherwise the passenger would be exposed to potential overtaking hazards?

Is it safe on roads? Usually you need all the lane to take a curve and sidecar takes space

Ось наклона мота находится ровненько между колесами и дорогой, получается что наклоняя мот коляска то чуть притягивается, то чуть отталкивается при наклонах? Интересно, насколько сильно это влияет на устойчивость на скорости.
