3 жыл бұрынComparison video of the brand new BMW F87 M2 CS with the stock exhaust system vs the titanium Akrapovic exhaust system (slip-on and link pipes) without OPF/PPF.
This M2 CS was still being run in, so revs had to be limited to 4,500 rpm.

I heard that too. Doesn't even sound all that great to me. I'm happy with my factory installed titanium M Performance exhaust on my 21 Comp.

m2 honestly sounds good enough with the active exhaust unless you want a max power build I don't see the reason with going with a different one unless you just want to be obnoxious, you can't tell in this video because author states that the car is limited to 4.5k because of break in but once you rev it up all the way it's pretty loud in person. (if applicable with M performance exhaust)

Akra or not, it's always that same bad sound of the S55 but louder. You need an equal length midpipe ;-)

There’s a lot more tone and volume in it. The stock exhaust sounded like a vacuum cleaner, especially thanks to the OPF. The Akrapovic slip-on and link pipes together with the OPF delete change the car completely.

So, what did you do to not have engine problems for ripping that opf shit out? Im thinking of buying one of These but i hate the stock sound. I dont want to do software for the OPF delete, this thing has enough power as is and im not voiding all warranty just for the damn CEL. So i need to either find a solution or look for a different car. :/

The OPF is deleted in the software to not get any CEL, without tuning the engine ofcourse. This was all done by an official BMW dealership, so warranty is not voided.

@@yd222 nice! how the hell did you get a bmw dealership to do that for you? I’m guessing you are not in the EU? Mine here in Germany would be looking at me like I’m stupid if I asked them this (and I did ask them for my other car... with the expected results).

Yes, EU. The OPF is only for European cars.

There isn’t one. Not sure why this car burbles with the stock exhaust, mine has none in sport plus. Akra sounds weak, no way worth $5k for that sound. What are you shifting at like 4k???

Depends on exhaust and the car, with a tune some can get more power, especially if cats r removed

@@seanoconnor8135 BMW needs to go back and simply redesign it so BOTH pipes are of equal length, in order to get RID of that 'lawnmower on steroids' sound.

Aftermarket companies have figured that out so makes you wonder why BMW didn't offer it on the CS at least as an option, not to mention the S58 in the new M3/M4 which sounds just as bad. The sound of these engines alone is enough for me to never want to buy one, they are just turning away sales
