6 жыл бұрынI finally got EWS/DME wiring problems solved and engine is now running great. Next step is to make exhaust manifolds and get the engine into Plancraft Sabre BMW boat.
Start without exhaust and flames.

Thats true! 😎👍 I have new fuel pump and new fuel lines now. I think I have to test it again before putting it in to boat. So new video with better audio coming in this summer.

Sounds glorious. This could only be done by scandinavian (people's) invention for exhaust mainfolds. It'll do pagani performance, at a cost lower than plymouth.

intrested in where you found pinout numbers? can you send me a link? did you use stand alone ecu or standard? i suppose standard because u talk about problems with ews.. the M60/m62 also able to run on 3 wires? Starter/ ignition and fuel pump + ews related stuff ? mabye you can send me a message greetz

Hi, I have the "old" Bosch ECU with -404 ending serialnumber. That DME doesnt include EWS. So yes, technically the m60 can run with just 3 wires. Starter, ECU power and fuel pump relay.

You use just the engine harness to start the engine out of the car?

Yes. Just the engine harness and BMW original ECU.

You mean these m60 engines? :) m60b40 engines are used in these BMW cars: e34 540i, e32 740i, e38 740i & e31 840i.

@@oskarthompson3789 they would bc of lack of back pressure. If an engine runs for too long, the pistons will warp when it shuts off.

Well, a lack of backpressure (with stock cams, and cam timing, will resolut in some freash charge leaking out of the exhaustvaleves before they close. Resoulting in the flames you see in the video. However this charge should already be mixed, so it might burn slightly lean, but the biggest hit is on volumetric efficency, I.E power. A slightly lean mixture will increase the temps somewhat, but it will not be dangerous in these short runs shown in the video. Edit: sorry for bad English

I dont think valves say anything if you start the engine for a few seconds. But in the long term yes.
