BMW TFT guide for STATUS Line Content | R1250GS TFT display | How to change Time and Date

This BMW R1250GS TFT guide is one of a few videos I want to put out there. Today we are discussing cleaning up the Status-Line on your home screen. When you get your GS from the dealer that have so many options selected to show you a ton of info on your TFT.
Today I am cleaning this up. The more time I spend looking at my TFT to show the data I want, the less time I am focusing on the road. As you can imagine this gets very bad very fast. Many of the situations we face while riding often happen in the blink of an eye. So I want to have my eyes on the road as much as possible.
I also added a segment at the end on how to change the time and date on your TFT screen.

Thanks just bought my GSA hated that part jumping thru everything to find out tire pressure or fuel level.

Hi. Like you i had trouble connecting my phone and my communication device to the bike. When you connect your phone to the bike, you can't have any other bluetooth device connected to the phone. You need to connect your communictation device directly to the bike. Activate your comm - device before turning on the bike. It will automactly connect itself to the bike along with your phone. It took me a while to figure this out😅. But when i do it this way, it never fails and works a treat. Keep making your great content. Grtz

@@AmericanAbroad1 Every time you start the bike. Each time it's a struggle. But when you get it to work. it works great. I hope they can simplyfi this with a future update.

I have Samsung S22 and HJC's helpt comm (I think Senna 50) and all works flowlesly. Point is ... botg my phone AND my comm can be connected to multiple devices at the dame time. Comm has pairing option for "2nd mobile" which I ise to connect to BMW. 1st mobile is connected to my phone. Jogdial, bmw nav, Spotify on the phone, google assistant... all works falwlesly.

As GSRIDER says I have the phone and the headset connected to just the bike not each other. I turn on the bike first and then the headset and it works seamlessly and can answer/cancel calls with the wonder wheel and play music using the wonder wheel.

if you connect your phone and helmet to the TFT works best, disconnect helmet from phone

What I absolutely hate, and what finally caused me to stop using status bar compeltely, is that Bmw occasionally forgets my last setting and returns to first one (total kilometers). That, in combination with too many keys to press in order to reset trip1/trip2 makes it compeltely useless imho.

Yeah I got rid of trip1/2. I don’t have any reset issues, but time will tell. So far it’s been just as reliable as any other bike I’ve owned. More so actually. I love that if there is a recall Bmw does something about it. Some other manufactures try and sweep it under the rug
