Күн бұрынThe Cullinan received its mid-cycle facelift earlier this month and now it’s making its first public appearance. We shot the ultra-premium SUV this weekend in Italy at the 2024 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The world’s fanciest luxobarge shows its striking front fascia in live images from Lake Como.
Anders Warming, Head of Rolls-Royce design, joins us to explain the design changes, both inside and out. In this video, we learn why Rolls-Royce wanted to change the front-end of the car and why the interior is a bit more digital now.

Considering RR may have some of the best designers in the world they certainly had an off day regarding front design, I would have thought looking at the new Spector front grill more width than height this would have made a vast improvement…. Still looks like the very most expensive London CAB.

Not sold on the front or the rear. Those DRL’s just cheapen the look, and I’m sure that lower section comes from the iX. The rear looks so bulky now. I hope this doesn’t trickle out to the other RR products. I still think the Ghost is their best looking and best proportioned car.

This is my point of view only…Let’s start from the good points 1) Great Rims 2) Nice interior 3) Spirit of Ecstasy is always nice. Now the BAD…Everything else especially the front end. OMG I think your designers were sick with the mumps at the time of design.

Not a nice front end design at all my well dressed trilby wearing friend… series one has better aesthetic’s at the front. The rest is completely fine and is what’s expected from this brand.

@@jonnyrondo507 ok, so critique the design of the first generation. THAT was ugly. From the front, just badly proportioned, frumpy, totally uninspired. RR made the mistake of thinking they could graft on the family face as though it was any other saloon, forgetting that an SUV has different proportions and therefore different design treatment. That is why he talks about “verticality” with the Series II. It isn’t just marketing. It’s a reflection of the fact that the proportions are taller and so the styling treatment needed to be changed.

Unfortunately, those complaining about the looks are not the ones with the money to buy one. Those with the money trust me they will buy it. Rolls Royce has a status, and the rich would associate with that status. For me, it looks nice.

All I can advise to Rolls Royce is in Cullinan 2 version add at the front the entertainment screen . You know where to put that screen? At the front the two sun protection flops at the sealing where is the mirror, from the passenger side you make two different layers, one you open is a sun protection flop , the second one you put down is a digital screen for people to watch movies , news , tv .

The front design is really disharmonious , you have a very slim front light housing and slim DRL's also a shrunkened gril then suddenly you get those very big air intakes and to increase distraction they are flowing at different angles.

Spectre costs $1.4million roughly in Australia, that is about the price of a decent home. I am scared to see how they price the new Cullinan II here.

That is NOT a "Pantheon" grille, but rather, a Parthenon grille. The Parthenon is in Greece. The Pantheon is in Rome, something completely different. Rolls-Royce have Parthenon grilles.

How could they make a digital dashboard and a chinese ahh headlight? BMW designers have something to do with cuz there is no way they would accept that. to me, the phantom is the real SUV because it is so tall, whereas the Cullinan is a hatchback which trunk space is limited.

The new front is a complete failure. RR stands for outstanding aesthetics and elegance. What they have done here is a misstep between a Peugeot 3008 and a wannabe Lambo Urus, by adding silly LED-light-bars and sporty-looking bumper air-intakes. The car looks over-designed and has lost its purity. It is now trying to be a muscle car? Owner BMW is obviously not only ruining its own car design. The main target market seems to be in the Middle East or Asia, as Europe.

To say it was hard to get the lighting under the spirit inside the car was bull**it. It would take an hour to move a light around to find the best direction. The things car makers say to make their car sound great is rubbish. I love the Cullinan. But stop the bull.

I do like the headlights and everything else on the front apart of the lower part of the bumper, those air vents ( grills) look too aggressive . Hope that Rolls Royce is not trying to please only the Chinese like BMW does unfortunately, I mean BMW , Rolls Royce you know what I mean if you know about this two brands. Rear end bumper looks nice but again the exhaust tips are not my favourite but either way is a wonderful vehicle and unbeatable from my perspective. BTW I do love the changes at the interior . And hopefully one day not too far in the future a dream brought to reality and don’t forget people that is good to dream , motivates us to keep going for the big returns.

Presumably when you spec your own motor car, you can ask for it without that ugly 'Airbag warning' label on the passenger's sun visor. Always looks so out of place on such a luxury vehicle!

digital gauge and slanted lines in headlight to bumper😢 i admired the timeless design especially knowing they are preserving those classic luxury like the AC switch, btw i don't really care i know i cannot purchase this kind of vehicle, actually i can it's just taxes for this kind of vehicle in our country is nuts!

It’s not just on top brands these days, could anybody tell me if this is grammatically correct? But, of course, beautiful car and two very well dressed chaps in a glorious setting, if I have to address it as ‘Cullinan’ in order to get an invite, I could probably be persuaded to temporarily suspend my pretentiousness grammar detector police force for a short period.. 😅 thank you for the video 😊

regardless of what you say in your review, the Cullinan, even tho it sells great, is also a GREAT disappoitment. Even a Range ROver looks more "Rolls ROycy" than this ungainly, boring looking BREADVAN ON STILTS.
