I couldn't find this song clipped anywhere else, so I'm rising to the occasion - HBO please no strike.

I cannot believe the quality of this show that seemingly came out of nowhere. The historical accuracy was so good, I had a pretty difficult time spotting anachronisms (most of the time). I’ll try Peaky Blinders next but I doubt it’ll match the quality and freedom the writers and set designers had with this show.

There are anachronisms but mostly very minor ones like pens being shown that werent available years later. Regardless the writers really did their research. They once reshot an entire scene because one of the characters wore a hat when back then it was customary not to wear hats around a bunch of women.

They actually took a lot of historical liberties with this show. It wasn't very accurate at all. They incorporated a bunch of real-life people from that era, but they made a lot of changes to those people's lives for entertainment value and plot convenience. But they do that for every movie or show about historical figures or events, often to push some kind of political narrative, but usually just to create a more compelling story.
