I'm very curious about the long hair video, because i've just quit my "I want to be a Rapunzel"-journey after 5 years of growing. I'm a dramatic classic with very thin straight hair and the longer it got, the worse it looked on me. So I went from butt long hair to bob last week and do not regret it. I'm a bit sad tho, because I was very proud of my patience, just to realize it was for nothing in the end. Well, at least I could make a check on my bucket list 😂

Yes , my sister is gamine and she has very long hair , it gives an ethereal /mermaid/doll look. I think what David kibbie is getting at is it doesn't look harmonious with the body. Just because it doesn't look harmonious it doesn't mean it always looks bad . Many Gamines look great with long hair as it gives a doll like , ethereal look and that looks beautiful if you like that look. Some gamine types might look better with shorter hair such as Winona Ryder and that is based on other factors other than body i.d Hope this helped x

FGs can look good with both short and long hair depending on face shape and personality, if long it's better if it is big and theatrical (like Amy Winehouse and Tina Turner).

I'm a Soft Classic, and I got a blunt bob cut (around jaw/chin length) and I never received so many compliments!!! People often tell me how it fits my face and how much better I look compared to my former long hair look. And it also makes me feel really cute and pretty! Super recommend!!!

Yep! 3 weeks ago I cut quite a few inches off my very thin and unattractive longer hair and now have a mid neck length bob that I am getting many compliments on. Good decision!

Bob haircuts are my favorite ever. Because I have hair loss, I finally just cut my hair back into a straight bob that's about 1-1.5 inches below my pointy chin. It looks so much thicker and better and I feel more chic. I can go about an inch longer, but I have come to the conclusion that because my hair is so thin now, I really need to keep it above my shoulders. Thank you for this helpful video. I am some type of gamine at barely 5 ft 2 in tall and less than 90 lbs.

I love your videos, Aly!! The next one you mentioned "long hair for the body types" sounds so interesting! never heard anyone talk about that before. Can't wait!! One thing I predict (as a dramatic) is that dramatics might want to avoid heavily layered hair, and rather have it all one length -- it probably depends on your hair texture, but if you have straightish/fine hair, I think layers can make it look too thin and whispy, from my experience. I definitely regret cutting thick layers into my hair. :(

As a Dramatic I had a short, side-parted blunt-cut bob, and straight out of the hairdresser it was also very sleek and flat. It looked like it was squeezing my face down. The second it got its volume back it got better. Layering has always been a disaster on me, too.

I think this was happening to me as a dramatic as well. My body is long, and hair straight and sleek. Whenever I put on a jumpsuit, in photos I looked like I had a tiny head on a big body!!! I would have to style it with curls, or wear something less uniform, to avoid that effect.

Just went for a trim and got 4 inches of my hair length chopped off to my surprise. I didn't sign for it. Got a nice blunt midneck length bob that doesn't match my soft classic appearance a bit. Had to soften it by myself and happy that it grew almost an inch and now looks much better. If you're SC, don't do my mistake, search dont's for soft classic, no straight lines vertical or horizontal, you will feel like an alien 😁

I dont know if we should use body type for hair style, of course may work but i think the facial features,facial propotions,face shape should be taken into account when it comes to hair cut not just the body type.

I'm a soft classic (possibility pure C) bobcut for me was a game changer people started to notice me both blunt cut and curly bob look good the only time I felt weird with Bob was when I cut it straight and chin length. But you're right bobcut is very elegant for classics I think all classics (and if you have high percentage of classic essence in your face) will look amazing with bob

Yes the asymmetrical, diagonal lob cut , slightly longer at the front and slightly shorter at the back I think is usually a perfect short cut for all gamine types. I think Gamines can definitely have long hair but I think it depends on the cap volume , hair thickness and specific look/features. I think David Kibbie meant long hair wouldn't be harmonious with the short and delicate frame of a gamine. That doesnt mean it cant look good , long hair usually tends to make ganines look etheral or doll like and that can be a beautiful look if wanted.

Okay, after watching the long hair and bob video, I think I am going back to a Bob with curtain bangs. I am a TR and always have it on an updo anyway, it's easier to have it open or half up with a bob, I have so much hair and I am too lazy to do the curly girl method on my wave to make it shiny and sleek.

Get your ph in balance, have magnesium, zink and copper in your diet, get rid of Candida, including from your hair follicles and your hair will look better than ever. 57 year old here, and my hair look great, finally I was able to grow them to mid length and love them more than ever before.

You might be able to pull off both N and C hairstyles, but if your body is Natural then I think Natural hair will look more flattering on you.

I am SN...I think Ns look better with wild, voluminous 'cavewoman' hair. If it's bob length it should still be 'wild' (voluminous and windswept). Short hair is more difficult to pull off especially for SNs sadly.

I am considered romantic but I personally do not like the bob recommendations for that Kibbe type. I have tried getting layered bobs and the kind of bob that is slightly longer in the front than in the back. Both looked very Karen and maternal on me. I want to go out on a limb and try a blunt bob, but personally style it with texture.

I’m flamboyant gamine with very thick curly hair, bobs and short dont work on me, every time Ive cut it I hate it until it grows back past my out line. Plus it grows fast back to between my bust line and belly button, so I figured that’s the length it wants to be😂

Body type is usually similar bone structure to that of the face, she’s is getting this info from Kibbe types, google Kibbe body type 😊
