'Cause all I ever have Redemption songs Redemption songs Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery None but ourselves can free our minds Have no fear for atomic energy 'Cause none of them can stop the time How long shall they kill our prophets While we stand aside and look? Oh, some say it's just a part of it We've got to fulfill the book Won't you help to sing These songs of freedom? 'Cause all I ever have Redemption songs Redemption songs Redemption songs Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery None but ourselves can free our minds Woah, have no fear for atomic energy 'Cause none of them, ah, can, ah, stop, ah, the time How long shall they kill our prophets While we stand aside and look?

When we are young It’s hard to understand our parents. We never know their inner struggles and what demons they are fighting.I know as kid our home life wasn’t good. we were fed and clothed as best they could afford, but the main thing was missing.and that is the feeling of really being loved. Always parents drinking, fighting ,cussing, fear of physical fights and being whipped. Had to learn to forgive them and free myself from the fear. but deep down they must have cared.

Bob Marley sent out the message of love and peace in his own way. As did John Lennon and many others. It's the message that's important no matter who is the messanger. Some have the gift of elequence and the ability to deliver it with music. I hope others will follow on in their footsteps. Love and peace to you allways

John Lennon was a weak guy taken in by the NYC pseudo-intellectuals. Completely lost his soul. So don't include him here.
