We had to do some editing for our Fadal, The way I wanted, But suggest if you make many edits and saving the post, Use a different file name so you can back up after making many edits to the post, Then you can either get lost 5 steps ahead, Or go back to one you had saved that was closer to your preference, I think I had made like 6 edits to the post, and discovered an error, I only had to go back one or two edits to continue editing

Hi Al, I have tried your specific example on line numbers. In my v27 the postprocessor lines 207 and 208 are set to no as desired, however in the post listing in the GUI and in the saved output file still have line numbers. there is no "N" but there are line numbers. any idea why? and how to remove the line numbers in the post?

Mark, what is the name of the post you are using? Also are there any special posting blocks at the bottom? If you turn line numbers off and you are still getting a number just not the "N" it sounds like there may be a script running that is doing something special for the line numbers. The best thing to do would be email the post to support@bobcad.com this way we can see the post you are working on and help you out. The other option would be to give us a call 877-262-2231 so I can get more details on what's going on.

how do you prevent a .mpost from saving as a .txt file

Hello Dragonfly, yes you can change the default extension for your g code files. In BobCAD we use .millpst files for post processors. In the CAM tree you go to milling job>posting>NC File Extension. This is where you change the default extension for you G-code. If there is anything else we can help with, please let us know.
