Body language is a universal form of communication, constantly conveying emotions and intentions without the need for verbal expression. Understanding nonverbal cues has practical applications in various fields, including law enforcement, security, marketing, and therapy. Body language can betray deception or discomfort, offering insights into a person's state of mind or intentions. Advances in technology are enabling the analysis of body language for applications like market research and human-computer interaction, promising more natural forms of communication.
Only Human celebrates and explores the unique and personal qualities we all have. Our channel offers a range of TV series and documentaries about human experiences and life journeys - while looking at the challenges life throws at us, turning ordinary people into everyday heroes.

Kids / adult with trauma are excellent body readers, for most of them it’s their safety. I personally have learned to read the non verbal communication and trust on this instinct.

You are spot on. I thought for so long I was some sort of freak (when you're called something for so long it sticks right) cos I am exactly the same as what you just described. It wasn't until I finally got some help and started this long journey of trying to heal that it was explained to me about being able to read and almost predict someone's response just from the non verbal. It's really interesting

What if a lady is old and has wrinkles and can't tell if she is angry or not angry. She can look like a bulldog but she is not really angry. She is actually nice. I met someone like that.

People are multifaceted. We have to be... I've met women like that who act so mean, but it's because they are taking care of others. They are actually the kindest.

I agree that reading people is a curse. And we should be satisfied with the abilities we have. The ability to disclose every thought an emotion of an opposite person would make politeness needles and can damage mankind. The danger is obvious; we avoid many conflicts by hiding our thoughts / emotions - it’s a blessing. I cannot even imagine what could be the consequence of not only guessing what everyone thinks of me but knowing that for certain.

Many of those "indicators" are my normal, regardless of my emotions. Constant and changing pain levels create their own variables. Standing or sitting makes a huge difference. Using my crutches or walker. How long till the next pain relief. Where pain is biting today. Is it arthritis or fibromyalgia pain.... Am I in the grips of chronic fatigue, or having a good day...

Of course, yet most communication now is online or text. I have botox and filler; how can you judge me even if you see me in person? I can easily call my atty and refuse to speak to a cop Hmm why is the homicide clear rate no better than 100 years ago? Please I'd enjoy this conversation. Are cops increasingly less intelligent? Let's get down to it !

Why do people laugh differently? Eyes, nose, arms, head movement etc. I'd be grateful for the insight.
