Boeing's BIG PLAN 747's twin- engines will change the aviation industry! Here's why
Since its introduction on January 19 70 with PanAm, the Boeing 7 4 7 has stood as an icon of aviation history. During that period, when people spoke about the jumbo jet, they could have been referring to any of the first three wide bodies, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10, the Lockheed L-10 11 Tristar or, of course, the Boeing 7 4 7. And the Queen of the Skies was the winner in that wide-body race since it had the longest production run of all of them. As the first widebody aircraft from Boeing, its four-engine configuration represented the pinnacle of power at the time.
Boeing's BIG PLAN 747's twin- engines will change the aviation industry! Here's why. However, technological advancements have now paved the way for the possibility of a twin-engine 7 4 7, a concept once deemed improbable. So, which are the engines that are powerful enough to be able to carry this enormous aircraft with just a twin-engine figuration? And is there any chance that they will bring the Queen back to production? We’ll find out in this video.
But before discussing the possible engines, we need to take a brief look at the history of this magnificent aircraft.
Boeing's BIG PLAN 747's twin- engines will change the aviation industry! Here's why
The genesis of the Boeing 7 4 7 traces back to the commercial air travel boom of the 19 60’s. With the success of aircraft like the Boeing 7 O 7 and the McDonnell Douglas DC8, it became apparent that airlines required a larger, more efficient aircraft to meet growing demands. Thus, the concept of the Boeing 7 4 7 was born, with the ambitious goal of offering transatlantic flights while significantly reducing per-seat costs. In comparison with the 7 O 7 or the DC8, the 7 4 7 lowered per-seat cost by up to 30%, which was such great news for passengers because back in the early days of the commercial jet age, traveling by jetliners was luxurious

The new RR GTF (Geared Turbo Fan) know as the “UltraFan” is a game changer. Even though Pratt & Whitney was first to market with their GTF, P&W’s history of design flaws, quality control and reliability issues from early 747 models to the 777, sadly continues today with their revolutionary GTF engines. In fact, P&W’s GTF is undergoing the largest, most costly engine recalls in aviation history that has already forced several airlines out of business while jeopardizing other’s the same fate. Furthermore, the P&W GTF recalls are raising serious concerns of P&W’s own financial & market confidence ability to survive the long term fallout from their never ending GTF program “recall issues”.

I wonder what will suffer an unplanned ejection for a Boeing aircraft next. Landing gear, perhaps?

The 777 is de facto, a twin-engined 747.

Sangat mungkin! (It'll be outstandingly possible, if Boeing's new direction board are fully from engineering).

The commercial failure of the A380 is due to the fact that it is very difficult to fill it. Emirates has a load factor of 79.5% with a maximum capacity of 519 passengers. This means an average of 413 passengers on each A380. Emirates' Boeing 777-9 will have a capacity of 426 passengers. Honestly, I don't see any plausible justification for reviving the 747.

Impossible. Unless Boeing can build an aircraft not much heavier than 777, using composite materials. Then you still need new engines more powerful than the GE 105000 lbs takeoff thrust. Its better to start from 2 body gears configuration and expand from there, rather than to try to reduce the number of landing gears to reduce weight

Yet ANOTHER FLIG AVIA FAIL - The 747 airframe design dates to the 1960's so would need extensive redesign that would be prohibitively expensive and where would this "new" 747 fall in line of Boeing/s aircraft models? The juice isn't worth the squeeze. PLEASE HAVE SOME SELF DIGNITY AND STOP WITH THE CLICK BAIT BULL SHIT
