I do watch a good bit of Boerboel video's on KZfaq because they are my favorite breed, although I've never owned one...yet. I've owned three English Mastiff's and they are wonderful dogs, i want something more athletic and more longevity. And that's the Boerboel!But your videos are some of the best and I totally respect you, your knowledge and your kennels. Thank you!

Thank you very much sir. I've been watching your KZfaq shorts hoping you would make some more informational videos on the breed I now have two Boerboel puppies. One 10 month old and one 12 weeks. And would love to learn more first hand knowledge from someone who really works and breeds the dogs. Please keep making more videos.

My boy is 6 years old. Over my life I have had German Shepherds, Dobermans and Standard Poodles! NOTHING compares to my Boerboel! It is the only breed for me! He adores me and when properly introduced, will tolerate others. However, I only give him reign with those who do not live here for a limited amount of time. After some time, I then secure him away. He just loves me so much and what if he mistakes a high-five for aggression! Best breed in the world!

I’m around male and female and the female is so chills and live to have fun but the male is super energetic and territorial. This guy is right about testing dominance and the male is have is super protective of the female boerboel.

Would love to hear your experiences with female vs male boerboels? Cause I find them to be very different. But have limitied experience with male boerboels. I own 1 male boerboel, and 2 females. The one female I own is almost a sister (mesikind x Afrika Ghunter) to your dog Tarzan .

6:06 I'm surprised you said that the boerboels don't do well when left alone. I was under the impression that they are tough independent dogs who, because of their history of guarding homesteads and farms, would need no supervision. Is that not the case?

Not the case , they were use yo have people around , they are independent till some extend , a real independent dog is a Alabai not a boerblel

Our Boerboels do just fine alone. I started some classes that keep me away most of the day. I was so worried they might bark excessively or destroy things. We got a 2way nanni cam. But they mostly just sleep. They are overjoyed when we get home and true velcro pets. We just make sure they get plenty of excersize & lovins and I do get them food puzzles, chew toys etc to occupy their minds if they get bored.
