Most times if your sled is bogging out and will not take its gas a dirty carburetor can be at fault. If it is starving for gas and you slightly choke it and it momentarily runs better, many times you can just clean your dirty carb, without installing a carb kit, to fix it.

So happy I watched your video sir. Your are indeed a mechanic … at least in my opinion!!! I’m having boggin issues right now with my 485 Yamaha phaser maybe same problem 🤔

Bogging can be caused by so many different issues. I lucked out with just cleaning the carb.

Amazing sleds will go through deeper powder than any Yamaha 600 one of them saved are like one day got caught in the storm lost in the woods and if it wasn’t for the bravo breaking trail we all would’ve been stuck upper Michigan

i have a 2007 ski doo summit x 800 that’s bogging. i think it might be from the dirty gas. i am going to try clean my carbs and gas tank

Mine was having a leak. Gaskets freeze then thaw when its warmed up then it. Bogs

It takes so long to start cause your over priming i. Try going maybe 4 primes and then start her up

Ya I guess with carb empty I thought I would have to prime more than a normal start. Probably overdone it as it started like a flooded engine

I had the exact same problem I cleaned my carbs and it didn’t do anything it still runs like shut

i have this problem with a 93 arctic cat cougar. Was a michigan sled but the elevation is about the same here. cleaned the carbs and blew out the ports and jets. Seems boggy. Should i just do a carb kit? its jetted a litte fat for the temp and elevation but not sure if thats the cause of this issue.

First thing I do is check the clutches make sure primary closes and secondary opens I’ve been wrenching on sleds for 30 years 70% of the time it’s a clutch problem not the carburetor

@@chucksprinkle1328 can I just take the belt off and try it see if it stops bogging if it stops with bell off then its probably my clutch ?? .. my carb is all cleaned with new kit
