From the Valentine's pop, to Fraternity's prog, to finally AC/DC's hard rock. Who would have guessed this was the path.

OMG - 50 years ago! I grew up in Adelaide and was a member of the Fraternity Appreciation Society. One weekend, Jenny and Barbie, the ladies who set up the 'Society' arranged a bbq at the house that members of the band lived in up in Aldgate in the Adelaide Hills. I was 16 or 17 at the time and we all travelled to and from the bbq in a bus! Two things that I remember about that day ... Bon wasn't there. And the bathroom had a floor to ceiling window that had no blinds or curtains. I saw Fraternity perform live many times ... Largs Pier Hotel was a favourite venue.

Bon had pretty much reached what he thought was the end of his career as a singer when the young brothers gave him a life line. he was around 30 when he joined AC/DC at the time angus and malcom were teenagers. im so glad he had the chance to show what he could really do , would have been such a shame for that tallent to have been waisted

That is little known background to many about Bon having success elude him in music and being of an age that it wasn't looking hopeful for him until he came across the Young's.

Obviously alot of Rock singers develope a voice that sounds cool. And they imitate it every time they sing. This is Bons natural voice. It helps when a guy like Bon or Brian can actually sing. The singer on Black Crows did solo albums were his vocals were more natural and different. Bon is hitting some real high notes here.

Fascinating!! I always wondered if he ever did ballads, or if he even got into anything more lyrical. This definitely answers the question. Hell, this is kind of like Yes, or Emerson, Lake and Palmer, or King Crimson. And dare I say ...he sounds somewhat like Ian Gillian at some points of the song. After all these years, questions answered. More sides to the man’s personality revealed in the music he played.
