Don't rule it out. If they feel they have no more ideas and can't see where to take Bond moving forward then selling will be an option. Gregg Wilson is involved, but ultimately it won't be his decision. And it is impossible to know whether the franchise would do well in his hands or not. His experience of making movies may not equip him for the current challenges faced by cinema.

@@007dossier I'm very dubious about this idea. Gregg Wilson has been associate producer since at least Die Another Day. That's twenty years experience as a producer. You can bet he was involved in production since a young age like Cubby involved Babs and Mike. So he's probably had quite a few more years working up the ranks and seeing every aspect of production and publicity.

@@danielscott8180 I understand your point but his experience is with an already sucessful franchise. That may not have equipped him with what will be needed moving forward as cinema and filmmaking need to evolve. Different skills may be needed from when the industry was less turbulent and he may not have acquired them.

@@007dossier If Barbara and Michael can grow up in one of the world's most successful franchises and adapt to changing times, as they did twice with Brosnan and Craig, I'm sure Gregg Wilson has a chance too. Babs daughter won't likely be involved, but she has openly praised the work Gregg has done on the films alongside Babs and Mike, saying she doesn't know how Gregg does it. Sounds like the guy has some skills to me.

@@danielscott8180 I think you're misunderstanding me. Very different skill sets are required for different stages in the lifecycle of a business: entrepreneurship, strategic management, operational management, and transformational/crisis management for overcoming industry upheavals and most people only really operate effectively in one of these areas. The industry faces unique challenges that differ from the past, and past experience may not be enough. I’m not saying Gregg Wilson doesn’t have the right skills, only that he is untested in the environment he is now in, which makes the comment about him more or less irrelevant. This also applies to BB and MGW too. I don't know if you've read any Jack Reacher books but there's something he sometimes says which nicely summarises strategic planning: "Hope for the best, plan for the worst", which means any situation between the 2 extremes won't surprise you. That is how I'm looking at Bond right now.

Great question! Every year Bond fans speculate that there will be some huge announcement on James Bond Day. And while there have been some announcements (new products etc), there has never been a big announcement that I can remember. So don't hold your breath.

I think Bond will continue at some point. Amazon paid several billion dollars for MGM so they are bound to want this massively popular and profitable franchise to continue. I hope it's sooner rather than later and hope they go in a direction I like.
