hey bro effin great tutorials I learned so much from you. one question. I've been practicing everyday for two weeks str8 and Monday my arms felt really sore but I wanted to practice (I didn't tho ). Should I practice through the pain or give myself time to rest up
@MaxImmatureZarin
@MaxImmatureZarin 8 жыл бұрын
Sometimes your arms will be sore, but you have to work through it. Other days they will be sore and you'll need a break. It never hurts to take a day off and let your arms relax. A lot of times a break will actually help more than stretching can.

It's basically just from a lot of specific stretches. I have a bunch of tutorials on my channel about them, and they all teach a different way to dislocate the shoulder.

hey max i have a question: what is different between flexing dance and turfing dance ?
@MaxImmatureZarin
@MaxImmatureZarin 8 жыл бұрын
Well, both flexin and turfing are very similar and may people even consider them to be synonyms of each other, by what makes them different are their sub types and performing styles. For example most flex dancers dancer shirtless and are more stylized around bonebreaking, gliding, and sometimes popping, while turf is more seen with shirts and is more bonebreaking, gliding, krump, and animation. Now some may do the stylized characteristics of each, and this is why they are often mistaken for each other or seen as the same.

I think you should do more personal research. KZfaq yunshep and rawnay for turfin. There's a lot more to it than you know. The big differences lie in the origins of both styles. Flexin' started in New York came from Bruk Up which has heavy Caribbean, particularly Jamaican, influence on it's music and movements. Turfing started from Oakland, CA, and is related to Boogaloo. Though the styles now days might look very similar, the origins of both are distinctly different. Many OGs especially in the turf world don't even like the heavy emphasis of tuts and bonebreaks, though many do them now. You gotta know history.

I was giving the basics for styles included in the two. Also, from the turfers/flexers I know, many of them have strong pride in their breaks and tuts and is part of what brings the dancers together.

+Max “Immature” Zarin good stuff man. Just spreading the knowledge so people don't equate bonebreaking to turfin. I made that mistake in the past and didn't realise the culture behind it. But yeah most definitely from a practical sense. You're likely to see some form of bonebreaking in New School turfin. But yeah man keep up the good work

Always stretch throughout the day, don't rush a move, take time to recover, and don't get discouraged that you're not getting a move down right away. It takes time
