This one there's no way to play live. You have to have punched cardboard music for it, but if you can get a MIDI file formatted the right way it can be processed into something one of the automatic punches can knock out. It takes hours per song to punch! Some other organs in that collection are MIDI enabled and can be played from a MIDI keyboard (to some extent) - but that feature is designed mostly for tuning and you can't really do everything at once from the keyboard. But you can theoretically put thousands of songs on an SD card and play whatever you want at a moments notice!

@XT8734 жыл бұрын
The sound the organ produces here kinda has a "sidechain" effect to my ears, probably not intended of course but it comes out that way. A lot of modern electronic music use the sidechain effect so maybe that's one of the reasons you make a disco-connection. The backing beat also has a skipping quality to it which also probably makes the song sound like it sidechains more if you will. This is just my very uneducated guess, just taking some ideas and thoughts out for a walk

And remember Rasputin hadn't even DIED yet when this organ was built. This organ lived to see through the same man topple a centuries old empire, have a song created about him 60 years later, and then 40 years after that let it's sound be broadcasted to thousands of people around the world by a fantastical, futuristic information system like magic. I can only imagine what the original creator of this machine might have thought when they were building a simple carnival music machine.
@Alxium2 жыл бұрын
It is machines like this that make me realize how insanely fast technology progressed during the 20th century. We went from horse and carriage to walking on the moon in the span of 70 years. Back then they had to build a complex machine like this to play pre-made music. Now everyone can play music anytime and anywhere with the click of a button or a touch on a screen. We live in the future.
