Work on season 5 continues and we promise it will be out in early 2023. But in the meantime, for the next few works we have something special. For this week we have Review episode where we cover the 2014 San Francisco Opera's production of the Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II musical, Showboat. Enjoy as Mackenzie and his fellow panelists examine the historical impact of this musical, they debate who should be singing the breakout song ‘Old Man River’ and if due to this piece's difficult depictions of race and appropriation it still has a place in our current musical theatre culture.
