The couples' stories were much much messier than what I expected from the book premise.

Just finished reading "The One" and it was juicy. I think it benefits from it's large cast and interweaving the stories of a bunch of couples because it kind of keeps you from questioning too much. Totally see who it could adapt into a good tv show and it makes sense to me they did more "inspiration" than straight adaptation. Sad they cut out the gay couple....even if I found the presentation in the novel a bit messy.
