This is personally my favorite MMX Maverick song! I've already done it on two occasions: it appeared in both the Mega Man X Maverick Medley and Mega Man Mega Medley II. Lately, I've felt ready to give it the full remix it deserves.

At first I was like "Boomer Kuwanger, again?" But after listening to this I realized all Maverick stage themes from the game definitely deserve full remixes, to bring these songs to new heights (plus it's been several years since the MMX medley)! The 2021 Armored Armadillo remix is still outstanding, I look forward to hearing more solo remixes from MMX.

15th attempt in 2023 at requesting "Magician's theme" from "House of the Dead" Megaman X is probably my favorite game of all time and the soundtrack is easily on my top 10 of all time too, so it's always cool to hear a remix of any of the song from MMX, you're amazing! This cover rocks!

God I'm so glad this cover happened, always thought that this song was pretty uniquely fit for you specifically to bring out it's maximum potential. Not that others haven't done amazing work themselves, I love Jules' cover and all, but I do think that the song loses a bit if you don't have the synth. X1 is my second favorite soundtrack of all time, and Boomer Kuwanger is my favorite song from it, so yeah I was really excited for this, there's a reason I had it listed on one of my prl alt accounts until it got handpicked. And I'd say it paid off, this has pretty quickly become one of my favorite covers of yours. Hats off.

This is as good a time to say this as any, that being Jonny doing my favorite video game song of all time. GaMetal has helped shape me into the musician I am today. I've been so inspired by Jonny to take the things I love most and make them my own through music. I can never say thank you enough. Your channel has been one of the biggest contributing factors to me going to school for video game music. You're one of my heroes, right up there with Jimmy Page, Jun Senoue, and Koji Kondo. Thanks for this song, for this channel, and for inspiring me.

I think this song deserved it's own solo GaMetal cover after being featured in two medleys. Glad it finally got one! Day 279 and Kartikeya is waiting for his groceries to arrive. Kartikeya used to always buy groceries at Costco but they closed the local one to open a 'bigger more accessible' one, but due to where it is it'd more than DOUBLE the time it takes me to get there and back. But that's life I guess.

With all the battle royale games and really lackluster titles that kids are all about recently, makes me wish they would revisit these classics more as their first games, Megaman X was the second ever game I played, next to Super Metroid, both on my grandmother's SNES, and boy did I love them both. Still two of my favorite franchises, and probably will be forever.

@@commandervile394 Thank you, I've played many Mega Man games over the years, but have never come close to finishing a single one. I've already went through X, X2, Xtreme, and X3. I am almost finishing Xtreme 2, and then I'll finish it with X4. I don't intend to go further into X5 and beyond, not yet. Then I'll decide if I continue into Battle Network or Zero. Maybe trying some of the classic ones that I'm curious about, like 7, 9, and 11.

@@FenexTheFox Yeah, I'd agree. 5,6,7 are the lowest quality...8 is alright, but the Zero series is wonderful, right up there with the first 4 X games. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 are also great, 7 specifically is really good. Definitely look into them, they all got great music though, no matter which you decide to play, one thing that is always high quality is the soundtracks.
