@@ComradeHellas 1924 is pretty close to when women's suffrage happened in the USA, so I don't think either country really was significantly ahead of the other. One common myth is that women were explicitly denied the right to vote in the USA. The truth is that land ownership used to be a prerequisite for the right to vote, and men were the de-facto owners of land in family units. There were women who did own land in their own right, and were able to vote prior to women's suffrage being official, but they were exceptions to the rule, which is why there were so few.

Borat is and always will be Sacha Baron Cohen's best character. FYI, Ali G is my favorite character, then it would be General Erran Morad from Who is America. However, Borat is what made Sacha Baron Cohen an A-list actor. I remember everyone at school imitating his voice when Borat came out.

It's impossible for him to do it now, everyone knows the character so he can't trick people anymore. That's why he retired the characters and only brings them back for silly stuff like this. Sacha Baron Cohen made the new series "Who is America," where he does the same kind of things and tricks people. Also he's been doing Borat since way before the Hollywood film. If you haven't seen "Da Ali G Show" you need to watch it, he's been doing these characters like Bruno and Borat since way before the movie, and honestly the stuff before the movie is so much more funny. Just search on KZfaq "Borat Compilation," or "Borat Intervoew," and you can see all the funny stuff he did for British TV before the movie.

I find him funny. I am from Kazakhstan. I find his jokes entertaining and in no way offending me or my country. Also another thing is that borat looks more like an Uzbek or a Armenian that a Kazakh.
