at 5:50 physical border point (red band on Bug river bridge) can be seen; going with train D445/30 from Chelm (Poland) to Kovel (Ukraine) via the Polish border town of Dorohusk and the Ukrainian border town of Jagodin; Journey takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes for just 54 miles between Chelm and Kovel; Международная пограничная Польша Украина; Российско-украинская граница

I have a question. At the beginning we can see Dorohusk the last station on polish railroads. After passing Bug river which is a border the train is still on european tracks. But from 10:16 the train is on eastern gauge tracks. Where You fiilmed 10:16? It is propably Jagodin because at the end of a film a guess it is Kovel. Am I right? I adore Your channer. I will be passing through this area on my way to Odessa/Одеса in July 2019. My rail journey from the UK to Ukraine and back. I understand that the standard gauge wheel sets get changed in Ukraine.

yes, wheel/boogie change will happen in Ukraine: either in Jagodin, Mostiskas or Chop, depending on at which border point you will be crossing into the Ukraine

at this border crossing the regauging is taking place at the Ukrainian side in Jagodin.

At the border, is the blue bridge standard gauge and the white broad gauge or what´s the story of gauges across here?

Yes, the blue bridge that goes over the river Bug is the border line and carries the 1435mm standard gauge. The adjacent white bridge carries the 1520mm Russian gauge. The standard gauge is out of use east of Jagodin/Ягодин. The Russian gauge is out of use west of Chełm currently. The gauge changing facility is just to the west of Jagodin/Ягодин station.

06:11 you can see white statues to the left are thoose a sign that you just entered Ukraine? I can see the flag to the left but whats the other statue? I went on this trip with train during Euro 2012 :) Rember a statue! Guess it's this one.

This part of the world is spectacular, we just bought a farm in Dorohusk, we drove from Dorohusk Poland to Kovel Ukraine it took just 2 hours, the boarder is very quiet and easy to go through, it is a very exciting trip seeing the differences,... I would love to see Lviv next time

LOL60345 of course they did; the border checks are very strict (Schengen area ends at the Polish-Ukrainian border)

It now ends at the Czech Republic border with Poland and Hungary with Romania, we had passport checks at these places.

By bus or by car. Because of coronavirus and some other reasons they`ve cancelled international trains.

This video is beautiful. I'm Polish and live in America. I wish that I was born in Poland. Europe is so beautiful.... Ukraine may be poor like Poland, but it has so much class and culture unlike America ever did...... I have lived in America for 26 years...... I miss Europe so much...

Poland is not poor you idiot! In 2016 GDP of just one Voivodeship in Poland ... Masovian Voivodeship was bigger than whole Ukrainian GDP ...and Poland has 16 Voivodeships.

It is a severe criminal offense to attempt to cross the border outside the normal checkpoints/border crossings; I would advise you against it!

Yes, I know that it is a crime to cross the border without having Shengen Visa. But how difficult it is to cross that border without legal documents?

Are you asking, because you are looking to cross to Poland or Germany for free welfare? Possibly to culturally enrich the country with your culture or are you planning on smuggling people to EU??? WHY WOULD YOU ASK THIS QUESTION- CROSSING BORDER OUTSIDE DESIGNATED CHECKPOINTS IS ILLEGAL???
