In Borderlands 2 there's also a small handful of unique weapons that are defined by something different than the barrel. For example, the elephant gun is defined by the elephant gun body or the fremingtons edge that is defined by the fremingtons edge scope. However, it seems like on those weapons the barrels are still pre-determined, for example the elephant gun will always spawn with a hyperion barrel(albeit a unique one that doesn't provide a damage penalty) and the fremingtons edge will always come with a Dahl Barrel. I don't know if this system is in place for some other reason or if the devs really didn't want to allow for Hybrid weapons to spawn in Borderlands 2 but I think it's a pity(especially because theoretically this would allow for a Tresspasser elephant gun which would make both weapons a lot more worthwhile).

So I did not really record it happening but I got a screenshot of a friendly fire boomstick from flynt but since its just a screenshot I take it that does not really count? But you can see the 600% burst fire on it though

Have Fun to farm the Nemisis Invader Hybrid the absolute rarest gun in Borderlands History if you compare that gun (in rarity) to the Cobra in BL2 then the Cobra farm is nothing

I don't have a recording but I can vouch for the dove hornet actualy being pretty easy to get. I've gotten like three of them, and the irony is that I got all three of them while playing with a friend who has never gotten it.

I got the bone shredder when I first got the game and didn’t know it was rare

I have gotten 4 hybrids in total. Reavers edge penetrator, friendly fire boom stick, Ajax ogre and the bone shredder savior. Have no video proof because Xbox 360 with no way to capture. I also spent a total of 13 hours farming the rhino roaster with no luck just to go into moxie's underdome and he was holding it on the boss round (no enemies drop loot in the underdome)

The only one I ever got was the dove hybrid. It had a corrosive effect that made the crimson lance my bitch for the rest of the game.

Funny thing is everyone says it takes hours if not longer to find a hybrid and compares it to the cobra. I got the cobra drop the first time I ever played the dlc and I was like it looks cool I wonder what it is, and I found all these videos saying basically its about impossible to find. I was like well damn if that aint somw good luck lol

i have the kyros power cyclops and dove hornet, and i use to have the super rare friendly fire boom stick on a separate account, but unfortunately it got hacked and its gone now

I had just got a Bone Shredder Savior a few days ago, it is stupidly rare!

Your luck is off the charts I swear. I farmed one of these with a buddy of mine on his account. He went for it for 8 hours and I went after it for almost a day’s worth of time and never got it.

I wish I had your luck. I get that this took you over ten hours, but I've been farming Vora for a perfect shock interfacer using the rising shot glitch on zero for the past few days, I've killed him over 800 times. So far I've gotten probably 3 dozen perfect no element interfacers, 1 perfect corrosive interfacer, a world drop pearl (sawbar matching grip fire rate prefix), 2 world drop legendary items and, 2 matching grip shock interfacers in a row. I have awful luck with Vora, I've gotten three perfect norfleets over the course of maybe 200 hyperius kills but I can't get a perfect shock interfacer to save my life

i have an ajax ogre, but don't have a recording :/ spent 27 hours on pc to get it and on 360 i used 59 hours which is pretty early in the gring honestly. wish i lucked out and got them in max level though, but can't complain :/
