When putting the batteries in parallel using the nickel strip, it may be prudent to check they are at similar voltages. If one battery is at 2.9V and the other is at 4.2V then you are going to get current flowing from one to the other. The batteries could get rather warm while they both balance out to some mid-voltage.

I just got a skil drill with dry batteries and i did the replacement for li ion 18650 from a old laptop battery and now works like a charm! In first hand i use bad batteries but in my second try works thanks ( forget my profile name, my doughter ismessing around my profile)

You did this a year ago with a much bigger BSM that used the ORIGINAL charger. I assume things have improved, as you've madethe same video, but with a much smaller BSM. However, it seems you need to use an external charger with this type? QUESTION: Why can't you used the original charge with this updated version of this project - like you did a year ago? Thanks.

hi I made this project for those who do not have the old charger. here you can use any charger between 12-14V and minimum 1A

Sir, May I ask .. I want to change the 12v nicd cordless battery to a 12v li ion, so what is the appropriate value (ampere) for bms ??? 25a or 40a and so on ... Thanks sir...BOSCH GSR 12-1

those drill won't go to 5 amp
