Walked 5 km with my Gazelle ultimate today, after a flat tire Had to hold down plus button all the way for it to work.

Pressing walk mode does not show anything. Any tips?

Make sure you are in one of the levels of pedal assist modes when trying to activate. If you are in the “Off” mode it will not work.

I don't understand how power can be transmitted from a middle engine to the wheel without engaging the drive chain.

When using this mode the motor will rotate and use the chain to rotate the rear wheel just as if you are cycling at a very low speed/cadence.
