So as of late 2022 and early 2023… the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is currently my favorite mid sized soundbar to recommend cause it gets plenty loud, it has a decent amount of bass on its own, it has great instrument separation, and thanks to its upwards firing speakers… it has tru dolby atmos support. And I also really like and recommend the larger Bose Smart Soundbar 900. But for me, it's a little too much, but if you have a larger room, then the 900 is a great pick up.

700 Bass Module is quite powerful and also subtle when playing Jazz. The rumbling bass of the Light Cruiser from Mandalorian Chpt 23 works really well even on 70 bass setting!

I recently got the bass 500 paired with soundbar 500 and omg the bass is insane, shakes me living room. I don’t see the need for 700 but that’s just me.

Nice review but the only thing missing in this video or most of your videos, is the sound quality at lower volumes. In my opinion most of the times, the TV is watched at lower volumes, No always at 100%. Don’t think the concern would be to know which one is the loudest at full volume. Instead which one sounds fuller and cleaner at normal volume.

Sometimes when you set the volume over 75% it might lose quality and bass.

Just bought the Bose soundbar 600 and the sub 500. My living room is medium size but I really wanted to feel the bass was debating on returning the sub 500 and buying the sub 700 but after so many ppl complaining about the popping issues with it and Bose fix is to hard wire it to the soundbar I decided to just get another sub 500. I’m hoping that having 2 sub 500 will give me that bass that I’m looking for and also keep everything wireless and clean looking set up. Next will be the rear wireless speakers but probably not till next year cuz the wallet took a hard hit this holiday season lol.

@@AK-ky3ou yes it’s perfect! I can have it where it’s smooth bass or I can make the whole room shake but the best part was that the bass comes from both sides like left and right (stereo) so you don’t just hear it coming from one side. I was originally going to do one 700 sub but I’m glad I went with both 500’s instead. Just bought a new tv cuz my old tv was a Samsung curved tv with no earc now I have a Hisense U8h with earc and it looks amazing and the soundbar sounds amazing now that I’m able to get Dolby atmos.

I got the Soundbar 600 with the module 500. While the bass is good on the 500 I think I’m going to get the module 700 instead. The Soundbar sounds great and while I’d like the 900 I couldn’t beat the $350 price tag on the Soundbar.

How does the bass module 700 compare to the JBL 5.1 and 9.1 subwoofer that comes with those soundbars?

Adjusting bass on soundbar and adjusting on sub both adjust only bass module and do not influance how much comes from soundbar. Since when you have bass module connected the soundbar offloads everything to the sub and no low frequency cames from the soundbar.. Test it by adjusting the bass to 100 on soudbar by being near to soundbar

I have the Bose surrounds with the Bose smart 600 soundbar and BM700 and it sounds awesome. However if you can swing the new ultra soundbar, it would be a step up.

One tip is keeping the subwoofer away from router and other Bluetooth devices (4 feet +), otherwise you will have a popping noise.

I really found the 500 insufficient. Considering the combination of soundbar+sub is going to be at least $1000 I feel it really needs to punchyou in the face, and the 500 just didn’t achieve that. I actually sold it after a year when I couild get a good deal on the 700 bass module.

Yeah my main selling point was that there is a very clear and noticeable difference between them and if I'm already spending that kind of money anyways I might as well do it right since the price difference isn't THAT crazy.

Hi I connected my bose bass module to soundbar 900. The bass module connected through 3.5 mm audio cable to sound bar. But i am unable to see them on my bose music app for bass level adjustment. Can u please explain.

sent me bose module 700 back anyway because it makes separate sound or the speaker was loose in subwoofer I'm going to wait for other speaker from bose when it comes out I don't know when because I hear a lot of reviews that bose does subwoofer separately and this happened to me when I set the bass to level 100 I thought it was a waste of money so I wonder if another subwoofer will come out for bose without problems I did keep my bose soundbar 600

I got the the 500 and i have a pretty decent size living room. i have the soundbar 900 with the two small speakers on the wall in the back with the LG 83in G3 and i think the whole set up is amazing. I have the soundbar and base 500 for over a year with no problems. i did connect it just to make sure i didnt get no lose connection. i have thought about getting the 700 but everybody that comes to my house says the 500 is perfect an no need to upgrade.

I have the 600 in my living room. It’s honestly working great, and I don’t even have the sub. However, cost was a factor in my purchase. If I had the budget, I would have def done the 900, but without having a comparison, the 600 had not left me wanting more of anything.

I have the 550 sound bar which is the same as 600, it is great, not as detailed sound wise but it does an amazing job at creating cinematic robust sound even with out sub woofer, hope this answer helps

@@shadowwarrior7338 I tried both the bass module 500 and 700 and stuck with the 700. The 700 is WAY better. Also, I can confirm the 700 hits way lower hertz than the 500, we’re talking LOW. It almost hits inaudible lows that are hard to hear but shake my house. It is truly awesome. Lastly, I placed it in a corner which resonates it even more.👍

I tried both, I will say 700 is at least 3 times powerful than 500. 500 is rated at 55w and 700 is rated as 180w. And I can also feel the 700 can reach a much deeper frequency. Same movie, same sound bar, 700 (20% setting) can outperform 500 (max setting) easily.

500 is better than the 700 cause the 700 just shakes the room and pumps harder however an hearing there both equal but they both require a good Bose bar.

Are there any aftermarket modules that can be used with the Bose 700 bar? I have one that I plugged in the bass jack but it just hummed from grounding.
