At the lofty heights of the Australian show scene sits Meguiar’s Superstars; a car show within MotorEx that pools the pinnacle of talent from events around the country with the single goal of unearthing the country’s most elite custom car build. This year, the 27 Superstars entrants have been pooled from Australia's best car shows from Mackay Motor Show, the Adelaide Auto Expo, Summernats, Elvis’ Melbourne Showcars and more. This will be the BEST OF BEST on display!
This video is part of what we are doing to put on the best show with what we have.
This car is mod plated in Queensland and will have full registration when it appears at Motorex.

G'day Howard .. was a lighter "Ford blue" ever considered over Red for the 429 badge ? At Melbourne I quietly thought to myself .. less is more perhaps. PS .. there's a video in the masking tape ! Can't wait to see the Van in future .. as a fussy fellow myself, my hat is tipped as usual! Nathan.

The badge was Adam Perry’s idea, I think it helps tie in the brembos. We will be doing a mask episode later in the year.

Saw this last year at Motorex, and was in awe at the level of detail and all round quality of the build. Given the polished parts of the engine, why not just chrome plate the engine mounts instead of paint ( that can be damaged )? The polished brake master cyl cover looks right at home. Was there any discussion of a Wilwood master cyl, given they look a lot better than something in plastic??

The fab on the mounts wasn’t up to chrome, the brakes are completely FG including ABS, this proved to be very efficient in the engineering testing. The brakes actually improved rather than fade. I find mix and max brakes end up a compromise on efficiency

What is the point of doing any of this. This car had its chance last year. Its not going to do any better second time around. Also looking at the detail, no way is this car elite level. Too many imperfections in the non main areas. The steel work in wheel wells is very average. The finish is poor on back side of parts. To me elite needs to be elite, look at the rear wheel well there is big heat twist spots in metal

Mate clearly you have no idea. Very few people will let you this close to a car at this level. Last year at Motorex the car placed in the top 6. Not bad for a car that’s “no way is this an elite car” More than half the qualifiers for superstars this year were there last year.
