It's 2024 and is anyone else listening to the best song by Boston?

My husband and I fell in love while listening to this album. 36 years later, we're still going strong.

One of the best songs, off an album with no bad songs.

I'm 61and I've been listening to Boston since they first came out and I never get tired of them.

Absolutely Blown Away by this album when it came out!!!!...played it like a million times...still love every song!!!! Still crank it up every time I play it!!!!!

This whole album and their second album are classics. Not a single bad song on either album

There are many different types of rock music, then there's Boston. Boston was/is truly one of a kind.

I think Brad is criminally underated as a vocalists! He's a perfect tenor range for a wide variety of song styles. I'm obviously jealous 🙄

I'm a lifelong musician and have heard this song 9 million times (once for each track), but I just heard something I never heard before in the 2nd chorus. Such an awesome recording.

You can't live forever... but music like this most definitely will. As long as there is a thing called rock and roll in this universe there will be Boston songs playing somewhere... until the end of time.

ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT. EARLY BOSTON WAS JUST SO GOOD NO MATTER WHAT SONG IT WAS.

The more the years pass, and the more the "auto-tuned", tapioca style junk that gets blasted out into the world... the more people should appreciate the years between 1967-1983... for the everlasting great music that was created in that era.

My very first cassette tape was of this album. I played it and re-played it so much the audio became a garbled mess. As many have said… this is one of the best songs on the album. An album that has no bad songs. Saw them live in 2002 and it was a dream come true for a kid born 30 years too late to have seen them in their prime.

My favorite song of all time ! I was ten years old when Boston came out. The album literally changed my life.

This album came out the year I started engineering school. My dorm neighbors started playing it and I was hooked. Who knew that 46 years later this song and this music would still be so damn good! With the advent of KZfaq documentaries, I have a profound appreciation for the creative wizardry of Tom Scholz.

Can this song be any more "In-tune"? Perfection.

Why doesn’t this tune get more love? I know it still gets played on classic rock stations…but it deserves to be considered one of the greats. This MIGHT be in the top 10 pop rock tunes from the 70s and that’s a deeeeeeep bench.

This song had once described what I once conveyed to a girl I loved years ago.... I loved this song since I first heard it, back in 1976, and I still love it to this very day. The entire album is nothing short of fantastic! Same with the second album. I had seen them for their 1979 tour live! It was awesome 😎👍🏻. RIP Brad Delp, and Sib Sheehan.... Both amazing musicians!

Freaking Timeless

Boston’s debut album with this song and all of the others on it is the best debut album by any Rick band hands-down. Every single song on the album is a great song. Really struggle to find any band’s debut album that is close. Most other bands 3 or 4 good songs. Not a Rock solid 8 songs. I believe this attributable to band originator Tom Schultz. He was an absolute perfectionist, amazingly talented man. Opps I forgot to mention he was a genius that graduated from MIT for his undergraduate & masters degree. He wrote Foreplay/longtime at MIT before the band was a big hit. I Can’t end my post without throwing out some accolades to the amazingly talented Brad Delp lead singer for giving us this music we still thoroughly enjoy decades later. RIP brad, you left us too soon.

My sister had this album when I was in high school. It was a fun little album but it was nothing I’d have bought. I was too busy reading Hardy’s tragedies. The one song I couldn’t deny was this one. I am an Americana singer songwriter myself but almost every song has a accapella break. I’m sure that Boston influence is still with me

Had a 20" semi chopped bycycle with a Dynamite 8 8 track tape player strapped on the handlebars with Boston 8 track tape blaring! Riding with my boys who all had "custom chopper bycycles"! Lol! Those were the days! 1978, 13 and on top of the world!!!

I remember being at parties when this came out. Somebody would ask " what album do you want to play now "? Someone would say "Boston". "Which side "? "Side 2 then 1".

The production value of this album is absolutely through the f**king roof and into the stratosphere. Right up there with anything Zeppelin put out and that is saying ALOT.

From start to finish IDK if any band/album other than Fleetwood Mac - Rumours had a more stacked album. These 2 albums are like a "best of" album. Boston - Boston doesnt have one song that doesnt hold its own.
