The late Dana Key was a descendant of Francis Scott Key. (DeGarmo and Key, 666 video, that is).

After 9/11, it got to a point where I was tired of hearing "patriotic" songs and such...they became so generic and took away what it actually meant to play and listen to them. That is with the exception of Tom's and Boston's) rendition of our National Anthem. During the darkest times...I know it sounds kinda "soupy"...I would look at all the flags hung outside of homes and especially on car windows as I travelled an hour and a half to and from work every day, and I would have this version of the Star Spangled Banner on my decked out competition grade car stereo set up...turned up...LOUD. I remember once I stopped at the intersection just after getting off the interstate, windows open, this song blaring...and car horns...almost ALL of about 20 or 30 cars that were at that intersection heard this version playing and ALL had their hands out their windows, pumping their fists while laying on their horns. What a moment that was. Yers, THIS is THE version for a lot of reasons. It belongs to our country...but it had a lot of heart. And gave it a BRAND NEW LIFE after our country needed that remainder of WHO we actually are!!!!
