This was the run. I've been thinking that a 23:1X is possible and this run would have been it if I got instant laser. Everything went right except calamity, but even then I got an attack up claymore (which is very lucky) mostly making up for the timeloss. There's definitely some riskier strats to try next, but for now I think I'll look at other categories.

@@WaterFudge69no. You can play absolutely perfect, but you couldn't go sub 20 for what we know now. Neither tas could go sub 20. If we don't discover anything new, I don't think we could improve much past this

eventually it comes down to the fact that a HUGE amount of the run is just cutscenes and unskippable dialogue. also load time on a Nintendo Switch. only so much actual gameplay that you can optimize outside of that

Didn't expect to see a random world record in my recommendations today. I've watched tons of commentaries on speedruns, challenge LPs, etc, but I rarely if ever see WRs in my recommendations. Usually i find them because someone else talked about them.
