The one KZfaqr I will absolutely plug here (outside of those mentioned in the video) is Sadowick. Couldn't tell you how many videos he's put out, but he legitimately has some of the best tutorials for ableton and a lot of other 3rd party plugins I've seen. His channel is an absolute goldmine. Also, if you're like me and really like having a dedicated curriculum to what you're learning, PML really does have some terrific stuff.

Hands down this has been my best resource for learning Ableton. I do mainly phonk/trap but the tips etc and the walkthroughs have been fantastic in getting my head wrapped around Ableton as previously I was a FL user for a couple of years along with PT and S1. I cut PT off some time ago, and cut the cord with FL and S1 as I wanted to consolidate my producing and recording of vocals/mixing all into one DAW. Ableton has allowed me to do that, and this channel a couple of others, but primarily this channel have made the transition very easy.

Hello mate, thank you so, so much. I've been drummer as a kid and played piano, played in a band etc... sopped everything that was related to music when I was about 15. Two years ago I started producing music with Ableton, sounds etc. stopped again due to low self confidence and other personal problems. Started chasing IT carrier despite never being an IT person. Started a job that makes me stressed, anxious, nervous ….. I was thinking about the endless field of the music creation and found your channel about a week ago. Thank you for sharing your personal story and for the excellent tutoring. I decided to leave this job for the sake of my health and give a way to my heart and soul. You helped me in a way , so just wanted to say big THANK YOU! I also leave in UK for about 10 years now maybe one day will have a set with you on the same stage. God bless!

I am loving you tutorials and they are making me grow a lot! 3 questions that are interconnected: 1) do you think a beginner should just know the basics of sound design and then use presets and samples in order to make as much music as possible? 2) do you find ableton’s analog synth not on par with diva, and if someone wants to make as much music as possible should he just buy diva straight away? 3) do you find wavetable on par with serum? Awesome video! You mentioned that Cyclopedia sample library, while expensive is probably all that you will ever need (besides your opinion on the kicks). What do you think about subscription based guys like Splice or Loopcloud? A PML course or two and Syntorial are 100% worth every penny. Also, assuming it's still on your radar, very much looking forward to companion video looking at the tools of the trade... Eg, software, what you need and when, etc. Personally, I regret being persuaded early on by flashy advertising to buy some things before U-he Diva, for example, which I've learned in hindsight is probably the best synth for the style I like. Great content as always!

hi bound. thanks for the video. always very informative. i do have some questions i can allocate 2h or 1.30 every day to ableton. weekend too i can probably allocate some time to it. i managed to make 7 tracks and a music video with my girlfriend so no total beginner. here goes my doubt number one: the opportunity cost of just making tracks for me is quite great when allocating time to learning synth and organising preset and midis, when i do have things organised is faster to make music, so i allocate most of those 2h to listening to serum moog diva mini and so forth sample and in watching bound to divide :). then make some tracks after blueprinting on exel every passage. not still at the level of just making 2 full tracks a week then more like one every 2 months. should i change some time allocation? those are my main areas : Sound Organizing, Song Working, Live setting, Synths learing, You tube videos, Payed courses. its a lot; just 30 min each is already 2h i do have many trouble in live set up. trying to play those 7 song is quite daunting and cannot find any tutorial on this. just watching my favourite dj playing but still hard to get how to perform with akai or other midi player. do you have some suggestion about performing your song in live set with akaiapc40 mk2 or in general some of what you believe are the best ways to transition from one song to the next using clip view and the song you elaborated in stems and scenes?
