Love the fact that you said you can use fat quarters. Actually would would have liked it at the first of your video. Just makes you realize that you dont have to worry about picking fabris. Especially if you are a beginner. If you want a sharper point. Before you turn inside out clip across the point of each V point. Then when you turn and push at each point using what ever you have the point will be sharper.

The link to the Bowl Koozie SVG doesn’t work, it takes you to Dropbox only to tell you the file has been deleted. Also is the batting supposed to be bigger than the fabric or the fabric bigger than the batting? You first say the fabric is supposed to be bigger than the batting then when you line up the batting with the fabric you then say the batting is supposed to be bigger than the material, I’m sorry I am a newbie at this so I am a little confused. Please help?

ok so I'm a bit "challenged" here--I cut the transfer tape as you suggested and placed it on my mat, but when my Maker cut out the batting it cut all the way through the transfer tape as well. What did i do wrong? I understand that you leave the transfer tape on your mat for multiple cuttings....

Hello... I have a question. I am interested in making this project. Is this project customizable? I was thinking of resizing it to make it both bigger and smaller so it would fit different bowls. However, the option to "customize" is grayed out in Cricut Design Space. Thank you.

I have read that even "100 %" cotton batting has some poly in it. There is a batting called Wrap and Zap that is made to use in the microwave. I would use that; I would hate to see someone have a fire. Thanks for the video because I want to make some of these.
@LorrieNunemaker

petmom ful 100% cotton batting does not have poly in it or it couldn’t be 100% cotton. There are cotton/poly blend battings
@petmomful2260
@petmomful2260 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I read about that, and it said even if it says 100% cotton, they use poly in the scrim or in something. But they can still label it as cotton. I could be wrong but I got that off several videos. That is why you have to use the special batting. I guess I would just go on the safe side and use Wrap N Zap. Someone on the video said their microwave caught fire. I just would not want that to happen to someone, or to a child.

I about drove myself crazy. For some reason didn't cut material same each time. I know some of the reasons. While I didn't want to manually try and recut each piece i came up with this solution. I don't know about you, but I hate that .25 inch edge around the mat. I had cut some material and for some reason it didn't all cut the same. So now I have to make them all the same size. I know that I can manually cut, but why when I have this expensive cutter? So my solution was. Take some Frog tape ( paint dept ) put it on all sides of mat overlapping onto mat some. Now on your design space canvas insert a box. Make the dimensions 11.50 x 11.50. Now set to cut follow prompts and you will now have the exact cutting dimensions. While saving a 1/2 may not seem like much, but if your fabric is a little short you will know exactly cutting place. I have now recut each piece to its right size.
