Amazing video! I think the most common misconception about ball reviews (especially from staffers) is that a ball will always look good and it will always send 10 back and that you will automatically average 220 if you have this ball in your bag. But you showed and explained what balls work when and how to switch and use them off of each other! Obviously a Hy Road Pearl will almost never look good on the fresh unless you hit it with a ton of surface but it is still one of the best balls Storm makes! You all are an inspiration to so many people and the sport of bowling is so lucky to have someone like you who actually gives good information and makes us better bowlers as a result! Thank you!

I have Proton PhysiX, Parallax Effect, and Hy Road Pearl. Being a two hander with a lot of revs, most of my balls can hook really well. But that Hy road saved me in league the other night cause the lanes broke down soo much. I was just playing the gutter watching it float through the oil and just snap towards the pocket.

When I started bowling, my choices were the Brunswick Black beauty, The AMF Classic 3 dot or the Manhattan Rubber bowling ball. We have come a long way

I watch these videos, even after I bought a few balls of my own, it's nice to go to the lanes with an idea of what balls i need to bring and how to adapt, thank you, you guys!

Do you guys have a video on ball weight?

I see a lot of people buying the hy-road pearl instead of the original and I just don't see why. I have the original and it works so well on fresh/transitioning conditions.

My current arsenal going from strongest to weakest -Hammer Gauntlet (Asymmetrical) -Axiom Pearl (Symmetrical) -Purple Hammer (Urethane) -Pitch Black (Urethane) The Purple Hammer at times seems to hook more than my Axiom Pearl but I still put it in 3rd place on this list just because it's a Urethane ball.

So in my current very small arsenal so between the iq tour and the phase 3 which is better to start for a house shot

The key to building a good arsenal is knowing what the ball does for you. Everybody has a different style, for example, I am a two finger one handed bowler. The Phaze II and the IQ tour do not work for me. (I know, I know)... My go to balls on a THS right now is the Roto Grip Hustle PBR (solid) and the RAP (pearl). These are two low end balls but they destroy for me. In Tournaments Along with those two balls I bring the Axiom solid, Idol, Idol synergy, MVP Attitude and my spare ball. I have found out that solids and Hybrid Symmetrical balls work better for me. I do have one pearl. SO just because it works or doesn't work for others doesn't mean it will or will not work for you....JMO... Great video as always....... Happy bowling...

What’s the best ball to use as a spare ball?

I thought about the Reality. This video sold it. Now I have the same arsenal as this one. I had all the other balls.

My first ball I bought was the phase 2. Which I love but I’m debating on what to add to my arsenal next? I was thinking about the Zen or maybe a urethane ball. I also bowl on burnt house lanes pretty often so I was also thinking about a lower end ball to deal with those lanes like a burner or something. If anyone’s got any advice I’ll take it.

Kyle, thanks for the video, good stuff. I’m curious though what you are watching your ball motion do when you are contemplating changing balls, any thoughts? May be a complicated question. In general, I’m looking for how quick my ball is switching from the “hook” to “roll” phase, if it’s very quick, I know it’s not the right ball and I need to go to something a bit slower or vice versa. I also know that speed and rev rate changes in my game can change how my ball precesses, do you use a varying amount of speeds and rev rates as well? Edited for name as I’m an idiot

What will it take for u guys to help me improve 2 handed?

I have not found a good happy medium for my trend 2 yet and only have 6 or 7 games on it. I am a high rev rate bowler and out of the box it just hooked up too much midlane and never rev'd up for me. So I repolished it, and now it just goes way way too long before trying to snap back. I really wish I could find out what to do with this ball.

Do you guys have a video on reading ball motion? A video that assumes we need to learn how to see what’s happening to know what change to make? Without talking specific balls, I can generally get lined up with the fresh, but get lost multiple times through an 8 game block. Would you guys be willing to do a video with a couple buddies and bowl a longer block talking about what you’re seeing as you move and make changes - both from your equipment and the lanes…

Besides the Zen and Reality, Storm has been making the rest of the balls far longer than most bowling balls. Kyle just showed us why. Phaze II, IQ Tour, Hyroad Pearl, and Pitch Black are a great foundation for a arsenal.

Wish I could carry these balls, but every college tournament throws down 39 feet or less, can't even throw my top 2 balls because they either hook too much or roll too straight off the pattern when I move left leaving 10's and 8-10's all day. By game 4 with six plus high rev rate guys throwing down the lane, pretty much impossible to get anything down the lane.

I'm a new bowler and I just joined a Bowlero Get Your Gear League. I didn't have a ball, so a friend gave me a ball he was no longer using (Ebonite Turbo Black). I bowl two handed and the league bowls on a sport pattern. But, when it comes to choosing a ball, I haven't a clue what would best for me. The choices that I have are the Motiv Fatal Venom, Motiv Pride, DV8 Medusa, Ebonite Polaris, Brunswick Quantum EVO Solid, Roto Grip RST X2, Columbia 300 Power Torq, Radical Trail Blazer and the 900 Global Zen Master. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should choose or how I find out what ball would be best for me? Thanks
