I really like how you guys referred the balls as "the strong ball", "the purple ball", etc. As a youth coach, a lot of kids have equipment that they don't know the name of, but they know what it does. Just telling them to garb your "purple ball" helps them out a lot. I know a lot of my kids watch your videos. Thanks guys.

You should do an equivalent video for oily lanes or maybe lanes with carry down from a party before. I've had games where my Proton Phyxix misses right while playing as right as I could. Would love to know what else to do.

Thanks for sharing these helpful tips. For me, I struggle to hit my mark consistently, especially when my ball is coming up high and I have to move left. I've been working on targeting and getting the ball out on the lane a little bit more (although I'm not very good at lofting). I have also found that when I get more knee bend and my trail leg is on the ground at the right angle, it makes all the difference. Looking forward to seeing you guys back on the tour. Hope to see you guys at the PBA Delaware Classic. Brad, I believe next year will be a better year of bowling for you. Don't ever give up.

This without a doubt one of your best videos for a advanced bowler I would love to see more on lane conditions and matching the right ball. What to look for & how to read the lane and ball reaction. I have recently bowled on some super beat up lanes and my hustle wine kept going through the head pin but my Jackal Ghost on the same mark was just carrying great. I also have really good luck with my (MCP) blue tank on these type conditions. On paper it is a weak ball but it is a beast on conditions like this. I never had more than 2 balls until 3 years ago. Man building a serious arsenal make all the difference. My average went up 30 plus pins. You guys are awesome and one of the reasons I have improved.

Reiterate…just incredible info. I am an older bowler and am just struggling to open up my angles, it’s just new to me, but with lots of practice I will be able to use it soon, I hope. But I simply love your explanation, of really the duality of strategy. There are many ways of getting the results you want. Ball choice, angle changes, speed adjustment..and not one choice is the ultimate one. It’s a feel, intuition thing sometimes. It’s a complicated sport. This week I chose a ball on the first game that I thought was the wrong choice from an intellectual aspect, but it was feeling great in warm up. It was a symmetrical pearl I use as my ball starts to jump off the spot with my strongest ball. At first it did not work but with slower speed it started to eat the pins. You never know always why it works and sometimes you make it work. But ultimately seeing what your ball is doing and reacting is the key. Thanks again, you two are the best

Those returns are very close at that bowling alley. I'm a two-hander who was never able to figure out how to drift left during the approach so I'm infront of the ball return for everything inside 3rd arrow. Normally I'm taking a 3 step approach and don't feel crowded at all but there it is more like 2.5 steps there; I would also like to see that video, specifically at that alley.

Great vid once again! This week in league the lanes were almost as bad as what you guys just demonstrated. I bowled like Sh$&. I carry a 198 average and i was so frustrated i threw a 560 (3 game block) The week before i was lacing the pocket and threw an 690. I realized its a mental thing. I went into this week thinking i could throw the same line and got burned. So i was lost.

Great video. My lanes seem to dry up quickly where I bowl. I don't know if there's a video out there or not for this issue, but I don't know how to get the wide angle on my ball. I usually play 13ish as a left-hander and break at 7-10. When I try to go and try to do 18-25, it just goes straight and ends up in a disaster.

Good info for bowling on what I like to call the "Camel Fart" pattern, which is what my league bowls on every Sunday night. So far I've had pretty good success with a Tropical Surge on these dusty, dry lanes. Was a taught a very easy method to address this: finishing hand positions. When throwing for most curve and power, point the index finger and slice the ceiling. When throwing for mild curve and power, put the tip of the middle finger in the ceiling. When throwing for little to no curve and power (aka straight ball), put the tip of the third finger in the ceiling. When throwing a backup ball, drive the pinky into the ceiling. Works with any ball on any lane condition.

What would you suggest that I do in a bowling alley that has above ground ball return because the lanes are underground? I can only move so far left and play the hold without being on top or kicking the ball return. Would you suggest moving to a weaker ball with a pearl coverstock or something with a smaller core? Also I'm 2 handed rev dominant and throw at 14ish mph so I can't really speed up more to play the straighter shot.

I also have this, but I have this on wetter tracks and especially in house leugea. Our courts are quite wet and I throw arrows 2 to 3 and then faintly outside. However, I have two who should be strong. Roto rip Duo and Halo, but you often can't get away with it on this track because they sometimes go too straight. If I take the Hustle or even the Hysteria, I do a lot more and sometimes I find that very strange.

For me my league gets what is left over from the league literally right before mine like 2 hours before so it is burned up with ALOT of carry down and I am more speed then revs and I use a quantum leap that has a 3-3/8 layout with the heavy spot towards grip center and it is right handed but for me being a lefty it flares like a 1 inch and I love it in game 1 and practice but game 2 I have to give loft to get it to go down lane but when that is not a option I go to my sanded plastic ball at 240 trucut grit to 360 grit abralon lower grit for synthetic lanes but high for wood lanes. I am thinking about getting the hammer axe so I will have another option before plastic. Plus when I release the ball I do the yo-yo with my elbow and wrist flick but I also hit the ball and whip around the ball .

My 25 year old Columbia Beast looks good on a dry house shot. Either that or my plastic ball up the dry boards.

Hi I am a bowling coach and I should you which ball bowling ball works specifically on the dryer lanes coditioning it’s very dry and you should move few boards to get the left of your target arrows and try yearathe bowling ball and it’s just depends on the wait block I would polish the bowling ball and so you get better ball reaction and turn sooner towards the right of the pins but uhm I have my DV8 Pitbull hard shell bowling ball And let’s try it with the bowling ball and you’ll get better results I guarantee if you have any Questions please don’t hesitate to leave a comment you might have decisions on which bowling ball for the bowling lanes
