I was born and raised in the United States, but my father is from El Salvador and my mom‘s dad is Salvadoran. It’s a small county in Central America and it’s beautiful. People are happy bc the president is amazing. In the last four years and brought so much tourism and he got rid of all the gang corruptions that have terrified locals for years (he building a huge jail and anyone with gang tattoos or gang affiliates have been jailed) I went for the 1st time around New Years 2022, They have great food, locals are friendly and beautiful beaches.

I saw this documentary years ago called “Happy”, they went around the world to all these countries and communities and individuals who are known to be particularly happy. The core common trait in all of them was that they had relatively low expectations, and strong family/communal bonds, most at or below the “poverty line”.
