I've said it before on another channel. Only pull the string 3/4 way open . It's plenty enough to let all the material flow from the bag and easy cleanup. Just grab the empty bag and everything is attached rather than picking up bags, strings and paper strips.
@josephbrown-ut9ty
@josephbrown-ut9ty 23 күн бұрын
JudithB I pull all the string off and put it in the first bag. I roll up the bags and stuff them in the first bag. Keeps it all contained and easy to burn when I burn the trash or prunings.

JudithB Happy Mothers Day to everyone out there!!! I raised some turkeys out in Arizona that did that, extension office contacted the one in Phoenix and they said they needed Game Bird feed instead of chick feed. It has more Manganese in it. I havent had that problem since (45 yrs)!! We could just see some red in sky, but photos taken in Arkansas were beautiful!! I am working on the garden this weekend, lot of weed whacking, and pruning weed trees back. Taking the fabric covers off the hoop beds and 1 needs bird netting put on. My 2nd fig bush has finally sprouted too! Rain coming in tonight again so dont know when I will be able to get finished.

If you research how to setup a Barn Swallow nesting area and how to attract them to it, you will find your flying insect problem greatly reduced. I have barn swallows (Chimney Sweeps) that return every spring to a small unused chicken coop, and I hardly ever get annoyed by insects, even though I am bordered by two horse pastures.

I make coasters out of smaller cookies. About 3/8" thick or even 1/2". Sand them down and put 2 coats of polyurethane on them and they make fantastic drink coasters. I have made trivits or serving trays out of larger cookies. Added handles to them and they are fantastic. Great for hot pots off of th grill or out of the oven. If you want, show us the neighbor's result when they are finished. Great gifts or things to offer at a craft fair.

It would be nice if you had a small trailer to hook to the back of the generator. That way you could pull all the equipment to the work site without two vehicles on site. Also save driving the tractor to site, walking back to shop getting the pickup and driving it with the work tools to the site. Just a thought.

I agree with Dustoff below. that Pete on "Just a few Acres" has a cow back rub chain/rope he treats with Diesel Fuel and another additive that he swears by. its a padded thing and they walk under it and rubs there backs and treats it for the flys. worth checking it out. as for the gaps on the welding. I am not a welder bytrade. but I saw that you were taking too much time on the "Gaps" that could easily be filled with weld passes. glad you seen that also. saved you a lot of time and end product looks and works just fine ? always has for me. and by the looks of it for you too Evan. thanks for another great video and for sharing. It should have a nice mother's day but neither one of us have our parents alive anymore. But on another note I got to ride in an ambulance to the hospital 40 or so miles away. And how I achieved that was by not putting my foot on the side of my stihl gas blower and as I pulled the rope it came up and took a big gouge out of my lower leg, right next to the bone. The doctor at the emergency had to put 6 stitches down inside the opening. Luckily it missed the major arteries and right next to the bone. It was a 5x7 inch wide gap. Finally after the 21 stitches and some of the skin cut away I got to get home by 7. Saturday I got all the grass cut and the pastures mowed down and now get to sit around like a crippled old man.

Pete over on Just A Few Acres Farm did a pretty comprehensive video on flies almost a year ago. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jbmWZrhmz5u2d6s.html (cue to 11 mins) In the last week or so he did a small follow up on 'back rub fly control which he favors. At some point Pete added some cloth strips that appear to be denim that hang roughly a foot below the actual rub. Worth a watch IMO.
