Brad always blamed himself for his addictions and the sense of abandonment he had from his loved ones but he was a child when he was enabled by his own mother to inject drugs and his parents started a new life leaving him with his grandmother. He wasn't guilty of his dark past, he was only trying to survive his circumstances and although he had all the troubles and mistakes that hurt himself, he was a good man, a hugely talented actor and musician. ❤

Yeah he had a very strong southern accent when he was young, which is kinda different from his image. Not meaning that southerns are not handsome. The southern accent gives us feeling that he is much more like a ordinary person we could meet in daily life, rather than a movie star

They both feel so uncomfortable in this interview, because the lady didn't know that Brad was different from most of the kids his age. He broke that robotic rhythm of her questions more than once, and I can see he felt upset and even kind of offended by her not giving a fuck about his answers, because she was only doing the interview as a job and not because she was really interested about anything he had to say, that's why, as a slap with a white glove, he made that comment about the interview being not natural and irrelevant. God, he was brilliant, and yes, he also was rebellious and tough. He's so underrated that hurts, a genius actor and musician, a very smart and handsome kid that this lady definitely couldn't handle

Not only was he gorgeous at that age, but that brooding teenage angst character that he always played was so perfect. Of course my mother thought I was into Jonathan Taylor Thomas so she got me a JTT calander for Christmas one year. I didn't want to make her feel bad so I hung it up on my bedroom door... all year long. That was awkward. Anyway, now as an adult watching these interviews it COMPLETELY blows my mind that he was only 11 or 12 here. That barrier-breaking body language, confidence and sure-of-self is something that many people don't attain within their entire lifetime. It's both enchanting and heartbreaking, because no pre-teen is like this unless life's circumstances force them to grow up too fast. 😢

I remember back 1993 when I was 10yrs old my mother talking to me about a book she finished called "The Client" By John Grisham. I was intrigued on what she told me about the book. Shortly after that, THEY CAME OUT WITH THE MOVIE!! My Mom and I loved that movie and how Brad Renfro was amazing. Next year my Mother and I watched "The Cure" ANOTHER GREAT MOVIE!! that we loved!! Unfortunately in time we lost Brad because of drugs, and I lost my Mother at the age of 56 due to drugs!! I'm thankful for the memories and I'm still pushing for THE CURE to help anyone in need!! I had to Cure my thoughts after seeing this video for the first time...#Love

What amazing responses from Brad at that time of the interview. You know it just seems like we have lost so many wonderful stars. Lost too many too soon. I believe that if Brad were still alive, it would have been up there with Heath Ledger

@stephenfermoyle4578 you should watch River Phoenix movies, he is the same kind of guy as Brad Renfro, both died very young, of drug overdoses, both were very tough kids, both very good looking, and both were picked up from the streets to perform in movies, none of them had any acting courses.

RIP brad. With the way he talks and his facial expressions, I can tell somewhat that he’s experimented.

He had a strong southern accent. Not meaning southern ppl are not handsome, his accent gives us feeling that he is much more like a ordinary boy who could be seen anywhere rather than a film star. And he saying drug is mad.. only if he kept it in mind and never layed hands on it…

I know without a doubt, his grandmother's prayers covered him all the days he had here. We make our choices and sometimes lose our life for them. That must have broken her heart hearing that news. I read she died of natural causes (76 yrs old) only seventeen days after his death.

She died from brain cancer and that was one of the reasons why Brad was depressed in those times, from what I read. Also, he wanted to live with his child and the mom of his child didn't accept to move from Japan to USA.

I miss him so bad.He didn't die.He was murdered by eyil people.I took it in that way. Most overdose case were like that.He didn't have good people in his life unfortunately. Well, His son is in my country. Brad really wanted to have his own family but his son's mother and brad were just basically friends each other. Also they met in japan when brad came to japan.Their son was not planning. So she never had plan to move to us with son.He tried to convice her..but brad had drug issues etc Brad asked to friends "should i marry her? I really like feeling of family" Last tatoo on his arms was "FUCK IT ALL" I guess probably shey said no about his offer. If i am in her position, i will do the same thing like her. But at least, hi son is still alive and grown up..i'm pretty sure his son is so proud of Brad.. as dad..actor..musician..etc Brad will never be forgotten. I'm not religious person at all. But..lately i think when we die, if we can meet someone special later or if our soul can still exists somehow in this universe..I just wish..
