Max Bygraves mentioned in this episode, developed the radio show Educating Archie, starring ventriloquist Peter Brough and his dummy Archie Andrews, you never once say his lips move, brilliant concept, ventriloquism on the radio. Educating Archie was a BBC Light Programme comedy show which was broadcast for nearly ten years between June 1950 and February 1960, mostly at lunchtime on Sundays. The programme featured ventriloquist Peter Brough and his doll Archie Andrews. The show was very popular, despite its unlikely central premise of a ventriloquist act on radio. Educating Archie averaged 15 million listeners, and a fan club boasted 250,000 members.

18:36 If you don't know who "Take That" are , well they are a english pop group and "Back For Good" is one of their most popular (love) songs , which is I believe is what they are referring / referencing to there just with a few lyrics changes.

Really enjoying your reactions to this brilliant show. As you only have 2 episodes left, if you can get it, try watching "Men behaving badly.". The first series of six episodes was fairly good, but after that it's absolute genius, several series and a couple of specials. Good luck. Regards from Charlie in the UK.

I forgot this episode my nana laughed so hard at the as I call it the reverse Full Monty shot at the end. Yeah there was a excersice dvd that came afterwards. It's a bit rude and it might be a struggle to uploaded it on you tube, but it's definitely worth watching at least even. Yeah Men Behaving Badly, I think it's all funny but the first season was ok and was made on ITV it's got Harry Enfield in it. It's good but definitely got better when the BBC took over from the second series onwards with Neil Morrissey in it. Yeah that's definitely worth a watch so funny 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Deredrie Rashid, famous character in the world's longest running tv soap opera CORRONATION STREET , no longer in the show as sadly the actor Anne Kirkbride died a few years ago. Her character was wrongly jailed and a massive real life campaign was launched and indeed questions were asked about her release in the house of commons all for real. Top quality actor sadly missed.

The show also featured great Scottish actor Gordon Jackson as boss Cowley. He is known for many film and tv roles but his best film has to be Whiskey Galore in 1949. Scottish Comedy at its finest. As for tv his portrayal of butler Angus Hudson in the 70s tv show Upstairs Downstairs set in the home of a London MP us indeed his finest work. The show is set between 1898 and 1930 and is a prime example of late victorian and edwardian life and the reality of being rich and poor. Please try it.
