When I was 15 I was really emo and I got a “scene haircut” once from a stylist and then tried to maintain it with trims but I fucked it up soooo bad and then I went to get my hair colored somewhere else and the stylist was like “did you do this yourself?” And I was embarrassed so I said no and then she proceeded to roast my hair and trash the “stylist” that did it and was like “everyone come look at this! Her hair is layered like a Christmas tree! Never go back there girl.” I was an inch away from crying 😭

Can you do a bleach hair video where you bleach a maniquin afro hair and show the right technique? I don't have afro or any interest in bleaching my own hair but I'd be interested to see a video about it.

So basically here's most of the things I've learned about bleaching since I found Brad a few days ago: ● Don't wash your hair for several days before bleaching so you have natural oils to protect your scalp. ● Choose the level of developer correctly (depending on your current hair color and whether or not you've colored and/or bleached your hair before). ● ADD ENOUGH PRODUCT TO YOUR HAIR. ● Bleach doesn't lather (obviously). ● Use smaller sections so the bleach can cover every strand (think of the consistency of thick, creamy toothpaste). ● Do the roots last because they process quicker because of heat from your scalp. Stay about an inch away before going to the roots. ● Make sure the bleach doesn't dry out. ○ Use either foil or a plastic bag to cover the hair. ○ Potentially mist it and blow dry it from far away to create steam. ● Leave the bleach in long enough but not too long to avoid further damage. ● Don't brush your hair until the bleach is washed out. Start with a wide-toothed comb. ● Use toner, not another color of dye. ● If you're just lightening your hair for a different color, you don't need toner. ● When washing the bleach out, BE GENTLE WITH YOUR HAIR! ● R E A D A N D F O L L O W T H E I N S T R U C T I O N S Let me know if I missed anything oof P.S: my hair is now bright purple
